I know that loot is not lost in war. You do make a good point, however if i move those walls the enemy will be more likely to attack from the bottom just because the base looks weaker from the bottom. part of having a good base is deceiving your attacker and making them think that your weakest point is actually your strongest. I'll play around with the walls on the bottom near the storage and see what i can come up with. maybe ill have a pure anti-dragon and a pure anti-hog base. Thanks for your feedback, It's made me look at the base a bit differently.

I think the storages are very well placed. Best place for storage units are in range of ADs which these are (camps come next).
Dragons will spend some time killing the storage units while ADs blast them :)

Do you have any logs (has this base gone up against mass dragons?)

Should hold up well against low level gowipe with that core as well.


I am currently using a version of Roundhouse but I built this (just to play with) and would very much consider trying itnout depending on how my base does this war (again hogs scare me with your base but I get the bomb placements and it sounds solid)

One thing i would consider is putting your wiz towers back where they were originally and then switching those two upper mortars and archer towers (prevent mortar dead spot on wall)

this is my first war with the base and i am yet to be attacked. the clan we are versing is about 6 hours ahead i believe so we wont get any logs til the morning but with a 35v35 and me being a th8 im sure ill be attacked. I will post a log if i get any.

I have been looking at the dead spot on the walls which was one of the only things i did not like about the base and if i move the mortars they become less effective. instead of being equidistant between the four it becomes almost like an oval and i wanna stop tier one troops before they pick off the outside barriers. this way my archer towers and canons can focus on hogs, giants, golems etc. play with the base but i feel the best spot for the mortars are where they currently are. the wizard towers are still being managed. im testing to see if they will work better behind the canons or back to where they originally were. Im glad you like the base it took me about a solid hour and a half. maybe with a few tweaks myself and everyone that has commented can make a really strong base out of this. plus as i said before it is a very flexible base so if you know your attacker uses hogs, you can move the AD to the side and move the black air trap and place a double giant bomb on each side. I'll keep you posted if anyone attacks me

The reason i moved them up is because now they will be better protected by the canons and will not be the first defense to go down if the wall is hopped by hogs. The thing i like most about the base is that i can change the placement of the towers freely and still have good coverage around the base. Thanks for the feedback!

The problem is by then they would have destroyed pretty much all of your base.

Not definite, they could very well hop the wall where the archer towers are (after moving of wizard towers behind canons) and go straight for the teslas that pop up. the bombs are mainly there for clean up. either the hogs jump to the core or they will funnel around and get spring trapped. I'll post any logs i get but i dont think these guys are heavy on the hogs.

Still have not been attacked! my first attack went a bit downhill. the guys clan castle was hard to lure out and he had at least 20 archers and they just didnt wanna get pulled. My second attack went well, i two starred a maxed th 8 and i mean MAXED like his king was level 10 walls were all skulls and all his defenses were maxed. I used 12 hogs, 7 dragons, and a clan castle full of loons. i brought 3 lightning. Might have 3 starred if the dragons did not get distracted by the barb king lol. So yeah that how the war is going so far. hopefully i get a nice defense to share!

I was two starred. He used 9 hogs to take out the air defenses. If not for the hogs i doubt he would have gotten the two star. as soon as he hit the town hall his last dragon died. I'm going to make the air defenses less hog-able

Nice! 2 stars isn't bad at all (th8 is so hard to defend we just don't have enough walls to really spread things out enough nor do we have enough AD to completely cover out bases and outer defenses)

Hogs can make a nice alternative to maxed loons for AD sniping.

If you don't mind i would like to play with your design next war.
I'll shoot you some PMs with logs and what not :)
