Gems for Name Change?

The biggest mistake many people make is when they choose their in game name. I think if something was added to the game where you can spend a certain amount of gems to change your name to something else it would be very useful. The amount of gems needed should not be too low, and of corse the request for name changes that are necessary will stay.

No. If your name is offensive, or is your real name then you can email Supercell to have it changed.

I noticed other players have posted nearly the same thing that were answered, I am new to the forums so does anybody know how to delete this thread?

I am afraid thread deletion can only be completed by Rank Moderator or Above.

My in game name is my first name and I don't like having it that, unfortunately for it to be changed it would have to be your first name and last name. I would even spend 10,000 gems to change it...

is the full name a real rule?

Hmmmm, so people with no last name could never change it even if it was their full name?

Just asking, I don't really have any issues with my name, but know some people who put their full (first)name and would like to change it

I'm sure SC can and will make exceptions if required.

I don't know why we cant change our names lol or why its ruled out? The villagers wouldn't know where they live? Okay great.. What do they do for me? I couldn't care any less about the fact that I don't have a few random npc's running around clapping their hands like morons.. I want a real, logical explanation as to why we cant.. Let me change my freakin' name. It will do absolutely no harm.

Changing your name at will is ruled out because hoppers or trolls could change their names and join the clan again and again, trolling it to death.

Changing your name for a cost is not something I can find a logical explanation for.

But they will do harm. (even if it is just confusion from Clanmates).

I think a couple gems for a name change is a great idea.. there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to change our username as long as our account is linked by an email.
