Honesty in the Leader Board required

Hi

Now that the game is established can the creators please remove the dud/ leader board entries so that honest players can enter the race and work towards the top.

At level 67 i can already tell that its not physically possible to have over 2 million boat points to make the top 10, not in the time that this game has been on the market anyway and this is because even playing it day and night and using constant diamonds its not possible as it couldnt be done in the time! - You are not fooling anyone.

Furthermore, you can tell they are computer generated entries because the crops and trees are all perfect heights and if it was a real working farm where you need to harvest trees and bushess to complete boat orders they would be at various heights to meet demand.

So please delete the duds and let us compete for leader board spots which would make the game far more enjoyable

It's easier to disbelieve I'm sure. Having been a witness when the leaderboard was introduced, I've seen how it's done by real people.

Also, what you may not know or remember is it use to cost one diamond to call a boat early and we use to be able to flag all crates for help.

So if I have thousands of followers to help all crates and it only costs me a diamond to call early, you don't need as many diamonds as you think. Many scores skyrocketed early. As a result, changes were made.

You probably won't catch them on the global but you can try to be the top leader of your friends. That seems more achievable.

I wonder if the game creators would consider averaging down the boat scores by 75% from players back then to reflect the game changes and make the game more competitive at the top levels.

i don't know how it is fair to arbitrarily reduce honestly-earned boat scores just because the boat scores, crate flags, and cost of calling boats early has changed FOR ALL PLAYERS. (Emphasis not yelling)

I know if I had played the game by the rules I would be IRATE that my progress and accomplishments had been taken from me just to give later players an advantage over me -- and it would be an advantage because I would be penalized and they would not.

My sense is that you are searching for new challenges -- at its core HD is an INDIVIDUAL game played on a global scale. Look within yourself for challenges. I am sure you will find some good ones that interest you there :)

In principle a right gained cannot be lost but how about having a new leader board contest each year. The old ones could still be accessible in a history tab but we will start afresh each year.

This is a superb Idea

They should deffo do this, its the only way to do this and remain fair to all players.

Have an archieve for greatest players and Top Players/ leader board of 2014, 2015 etc

Trying to reach the top of the global leaderboard, would for me be a HD lifechallenge, I dont feel like taking on the first coulple of day - lvl 232 and more than 2,7 mio boatpoints. For me to get there will take a couple of days for sure. Lol
It's not an important goal for me anyway, but there are some ideas around here, for the Ideas & Feature Request part of the forum, it could look like to me.

I'd like to see a leaderboard of people that don't spend any diamonds on bringing boats faster or fishing, or making cakes faster etc, so it is more fair and done through hard work rather than who has a lot of diamonds to spend.

I followed someone for a bit and once one boat left they immediately brought in another, I read here of neighbourhoods spending quite a bit of money on each event.

that is fine and I understand it but as an observer personally I see no accomplishment in doing that,

of course SC is very clever and obviously want to make more money and by putting in event boards there are obviously a lot of people that will spend a lot of money just to get there name on there ( they must have a different psyche to me as I will never understand that) so it won't change or have another board, which is fine as I can just ignore it and people that like it participate in it.

Unlike some people I don't think those people keep hayday going, I think the bread And butter is from the lot of people who may just pay $10 every month or so or initially on diamonds for production queues or decorations or tom etc.

I was just thinking about something in this area. Solicit some willing farmers and start a personal competition. Note what everyone's current score is so that once the competition is over (set a time period) just subtract the difference to see how many points were obtained. Set the ground rules of course.

To state that people who use diamonds are somehow not playing fair is a generalization that is itself unfair. I have never spent a dime on diamonds but I currently have over 500 that I have earned through hard work. Period! Supercell allows us to EARN diamonds in many many ways. To imply that those diamonds weren't earned frankly is insulting!

To suggest that anyone's achievements should be taken away from them is also unfair. If during the next boat event, I used everyone of my hard earned diamonds to call early boats, I would certainly have earned whatever award I got.

Might I suggest that instead of making assumptions, please give everyone the benefit of the doubt! You don't know how they came by their successes.

actually I gave examples, not assumptions

I said how I read here that people have openly said they spent a lot of money on the events, one person said they spent well over $1000 on just one event, frequently, and how one personI followed just spent diamonds constantly on getting more boats.

yes people can earn diamonds,I do, (I spend all day hunting for them but would never get the amount that I see on an event, look at how fast people make cakes for an event for example, on the top event board,) but I would like to see an event board that doesn't use diamonds, as that would be fair IMO across the board for everyone as to me that is earned with time and hard work not bought with diamonds (be it bought diamonds or free diamonds)

I Said later, that a board could be added to the current one, so didn't say about taking people "achievements " away.

Just because I have a different opinion on the subject doesn't mean you need to take it as insulting or so personally, people have different opinions on subjects and should be freely allowed to make them without then being insulted in another post by someone else especially when I didn't think I was insulting to anyone in the first place, just wanted to see A board Without diamonds being spent on it.

I know for a fact at least 2 farms on the leaderboard are very real. One leaderboard player is one of my GC friends and another leaderboard player is number 2 on the leaderboards. When you help the latter, she is quite kind and will come buy your RSS stuff to say thanks (usually the stuff no one buys) and even says thank you ________ on her RSS. In fact, she thanked me once. I was so blown away that she thanked lil ole me publicly on her RSS that I screenshot it. It was very cool. :) She was even asking me how I was and chatting back and forth with me on her RSS. She's pretty cool.

But I am off on a tangent now....back to what I was saying.

Not everyone is a dud on the leaderboard but they do rely on many, MANY followers and helping visitors to fill their crates. In fact, I should have also mentioned in order to even fill a crate of hers requires one to be very fast, as others are also very fast.

I should also mention that yes, clearly diamonds are used to keep calling in boats like this. I watched boat after boat after boat get called in. While yes, that technique requires using diamonds, that's also some serious dedication involved to call in boat after boat and to maintain that position on the leaderboard.

I see the desire to want a chance at the leaderboard if one does not want to buy or want to spend diamonds. Although I am not sure how SC would go about monitoring the additional boat leaderboard to ensure no one on the leaderboard is using diamonds to advance. That would require some serious coding and SC would have to take this extra coding into consideration for the game overall. In fact, implementing such a leaderboard might prove counterproductive to SC as a business, as implementing a new aspect where diamond usage is discouraged might also then discourage the purchase of diamonds.

If I was a product manager at SuperCell and heard that idea I would be struggling with "What's in it for us?" Please explain how that elicits any sort of competitiveness that would play to SC's advantage. Without that, why would SC build it?

I have no reason to believe that the person at the top of the global leaderboard got there unfairly. I checked that farm right after I downloaded the Bee update, and they had already used diamonds to get their fourth hive. On one hand I cannot (actually, will not) compete with that. But I don't think it's unfair: that person spent thousands of diamonds. Which means they bought thousands. Which means that they are subsidizing my gameplay. I win!

I would be unhappy if that farm had some game aitch-ay-see-kay that let them acquire thousands of diamonds for free. That would be bad. But I much prefer to believe that some rich and bored sultan is buying his way to the top by buying millions of diamonds. And I don't think this is a naive wish: that farm at the top of the leaderboard probably has SC's attention much more than mine.

You made my point obviously better than I did. Using diamonds is not unfair! Buying diamonds helps the rest of us play for free. There's nothing unfair about it. If someone can't buy diamonds, there's something else that is unfair. Life's not fair. Using diamonds in hay day is perfectly fair. One could argue that it's unfair that some folks can play all day long while others have to or choose to go to school or work. Super Cell is certainly not going to limit our game play to a certain number of hours a day. There are enough folks crying that it's not fair that Tom operates on a 24 hour basis that includes sleep time. They think it's unfair that they have to sleep. I don't think so! The choices we make on how we play are ours alone and claiming something is unfair because of our individual choices isn't going to change Supercell's rules. Nor should it.

Here is a fun fact I have noted about the large farms at levels I can only dream of - very few have mastery stars on their animal feed makers - goals to achieve, maybe I can get it before them😊

I really dont see why the current leader board cant be moved into a "Hall of Fame" and have a new leader board kick off from say Jan 1 that only takes into account boat leader board scores earned after 1st Jan for the 2015 year.

Then run the same event for 2016

Its that simple

Currently, due to the fact that early players could allow all crates to be filled with help and call boats for one diamond new players havent got a hope in hells chance of competing to get anywhere near that leader board. These players are impossible to catch so the game favours very very early adopters of the game.To earn 2.7 million boat leader points is impossible on the current revised format because even with constant boat calling and paying with diamonds you often get boats on the trot wanting the same thing and you can't amas the boat points quick enough.

Im on level 67 i have been playing constant for months and using lots of diamionds and at this point i think i have 37,000 boat points which is a lot compared to many but puts me in the top 150k

If the want members to compete they need to run the leader board on an annual basis and add into the hall of fame end of year scores - thats what i think anyway

I will post the entry in ideas in the hope that it gets picked up by someone at SC
