i have managed to fill both gold and elixir storages over the last two days, 3 hours of raiding each day, by just barching with some goblins in the gold leagues.
I thought I was going to get wrecked when my shield went down this morning however I just got sniped. So best advice would be put your TH in a corner miles away from anything else and just hope for some luck.
shouldnt be getting steamrolled in crystal if your th is out. on the subject of loot for th9's, everyone i know says best bang for your buck is in master 3 or higher. the win bonus alone is worth the effort.
get comfortable with miniball or barch. th9 is the begining of the big leagues. so hopefully youre an experienced attacker by now.
Th9's cannot hold up on defense in master or higher. so just accept that and plan around that shield. your queen is key. she will win you the raid 75% of the time.
That's life as an early th9. As soon as i got my lvl3 xbows up I hardly ever get attacked.
