I am currently a mid th 9 with max loons, archers, lv 5 minions,lv 15 king and a lv 11 queen. All my x bows and splash defenses are maxed and im just wondering if all of this is enough. Loot has been bad for me so I just want to challenge myself and see how well I can do. I've practiced in wars with balloons and im pretty good at 1 staring some th 10s with a possible 2 star if I have a hound in the cc. Any tips or advise is greatly appreciated!
The th9 champ challenge is a blast! Im a mid to late th9 and just made it to champs last night with balloonion. My theory is if I can do it, anyone can.Quote:

3) Start off with a lot of loot. I ran low on elixir at one point. Had to use hogs for a bit and rest for a day to get elixir back to balloonion. My clan wars often and I use de based armies so I was able to recover elixir to keep going.
4) You won't win on defense past 2800. Too many max th10s looking for loot and trophys. Keep your town hall out, untrapped. A lot of champs and fellow pushers will gladly snipe you for 1-4 trophys. Much better than getting steamrolled everytime you log off and losing all your loot and 20 cups.

Nice strategy. Ballonian and barch are pretty efficient pushing comps.
Pushing to Champs as a TH9 was alot of fun. I had max loons and lvl5 minions on my journey to 3200. Best piece of advice I can give you is base selection. Only take on a base your confident you will at least 1 star NO EXCEPTIONS. Also while your army is training look for snipes, they are very rare past 2800 but you will get at least 1 or maybe if your lucky 2 an hour. Bring lots of gold and try to play in sessions it will help immensely. Good Luck and you'll get that Champs Badge in no time.
Most has been said already. Defense doesn't matter at all really so if your not okay with stay one for a few hours at a time I'd save the frustration and don't do it. I have a otter box holster on my phone while I work which easily halfway opens for a quick and discreet screen tap while I work. That's how I was able to stay one till forced break often when I pushed through champs. Keep TH out in master. The 3000-3500 range will be almost all snipes since the people at 3800+ will be waiting for so long to be given a raid you will more than likely be given to them and only be worth one cup Anyways so they have no reason to waste gems on more than the snipe.
As mentioned never attack a base your not certain about. Use snipes to get used to some of the common or intimidating bases safely. One loss is a big deal so never lose! I know I only lost 3 battles 2 with barch in masters and not again till I raided galadon at 3400 or so. They take probably 2 hours to make up at least.
As mentioned snipe while army builds as fast as you can. Never even look at loot forget it exists. Just look at cups avaible, and whether its a TH snipes. That's all that matters for you.
Don't put your rages too deep. Your loons don't need the dps boost really just the speed so unless there's not a lot to clean up its usually best to keep rage a bit shallower for minons to clean up faster. I brought 4 rages and didn't bother with cc lure.
If cc was slightly north I would attack southern side. Than northern side for pull while going in from easylt which drew them there than west before least side was done. Never really failed me. But occasionally I would destroy cc but I was usually out fast enough they would just be distracted by minons and I wouldn't have to worry about them
