I am near max defence, got teslas, traps and heroes left. Walls are 70% level 8. My current plan is to, once my traps and teslas are finished, to farm gold and dark elixir until all my walls are level 9, and my heroes will be about 20. Obviously I will have maxed troops. Thoughts?
that's a good plan....with what you have left to do, you looking at between 4-6 months to complete (depending on how much time you play). So you still have a lot of time to decide. That was my original plan too, but once I hit that goal, I decided to max my heroes before considering upgrade to TH10 (still not sure if I want to max walls or not). There are not many maxxed out (including heroes/walls) TH9s. When i see one, I think they look super cool! :cool:Quote:

Personally (I'm in about the same spot as you at the moment) I'm going to stick around at th9 until I have full level 10 walls or maxed heroes--whatever comes first (pretty sure walls will be first, but it could be close). I think it just comes down to what level you eventually want your walls to be at. I'd like to max them, so I'm just going to wait and try and farm as efficiently as possible (i.e. without being affected by the even worse loot penalty at th10). I'll have idle builders eventually anyways, so it doesn't bother me to have them idle for a bit now.
Plus th9 is a blast!
What I need to decide is if I am going to get level 10 walls at Town Hall 10 or not. If I am, I should farm them now. However I only have the time in a day to farm 1.5 million on weekdays, and possibly 2-4 million on the weekend. With these stats, it would take me a very long time farm level 10 walls. If I found a more effective gold and elixir farming method, or gained more hours in a day then I would definitely max Town Hall 9.Quote:

With the number of hours you spend on clash, it would be atleast 1 year Plus to do lava walls alone. Not to mention the current "loot is fine for me.... No loot suxs for me" threads going around
On a weekday I do approximately 10-15 raids.
I am currently in Gold 2, taking about any base which allows me to take 100k plus. This is because my view is that it's not how much you farm in 1 raid it's how much you farm in an hour. However as I'm a reasonably casual player, instead of getting 100-150k gold a raid, is there any other more efficient ways of farming I could do?
If i was a casual player, who does attacks whenever i have time, i would not look at per hour, but instead per day, or sometimes couple of days.Quote:

If you want lvl 20 heros, its DE. If you want Legos, gold.
Gold is good at 1500-1700, I would go for atleast 200k each, else not worth my time.
DE is good from 1700 - 2100. I would take a th8 with 1k+, TH9 for 1.5k, typically.
(I am strict non-zapper, so take your pick)
Everyone has different measurements of good loot or bad loot.
I am at town hall 9 right now and just maxed out that last mortar so now I have max defenses. I had plans like you guys to get all level 9 walls and 50% level 10's before going on to town hall 10. But now that I am upgrading my walls I realized that it is really boring. I have only been upgrading walls for 5 days and am sick of it. I have 4 idle builders and one working on a hero and I don't like it. I will probably upgrade my town hall in a couple weeks just because a lot of bases don't have level 9 walls so if I get a lot of then then I will be somebody a lot of people won't want to attack in gold 1 and crystal 3 league. In my opinion defenses are much more important that walls anyways so with the gold that you guys would spend getting 250 level 10 walls I will use it to max out my defenses at town hall 10 with plenty to spare.
