Sorry--I should have been more clear (and I was mostly joking :)) I didn't expect them to do anything else as I know what archers do and don't do. What I would LIKE them to do is realize the futility of their efforts. The pic can't show, but they shot at that wall section for the last 45 seconds of my attack. No chance of getting through---all the while there is an opening just to their right, and another target, not blocked by walls, just to their left. By targetting the walls, they ended my attack for intents and purposes. If they had done these other things, they would not have survived anyway, but only because the next targets were defensive buildings.

Yeah--seen that one too many times! I also love it when they wall right up to a defensive building and then shoot over it targeting a barrack or builder hut.:p

Yes--I have done this myself. Also reminds me of the many times I have seen my troops target a wall section, finally punch a hole, and then as soon as they do, the turn around and start doing something else!

yes! at four different walls...:p

But what about when they run towards a WT, then run past it and shoot at the barrack behind the WT.;)

I know--but the direct direct line won't ever happen because the DPS from the combined archers is less than the hit points of the walls between where they stand and the target, given the amount of time available. As I said above, obviously this is beyond their AI, just funny. To see them hopelessly shooting away at a wall segment they will not be able to break through, with a nice hole in the wall just around the corner. :)
