can lvl 5 gibarch breakthrough to the core of a th 8 holding a good amount of de or a th 9 with semi exposed de storage?
im a th 8 looking for some de to get the aq as soon as i get to th 9.......
comp im looking to use:-20 giants,12 wall breaker,28 barbs and 48 archers.....
Generally yes. You may need to use some heals. Can use less giants, more barbs, since under heal barbs aren't gonna die either and do more dps than giants.

Absolutely possible. Check out Junliangs tutorial, 12 giants is pretty much max you should need..
Yeah one of my former clanmates has used that same strategy exept with about 10-12 giants, 40-50 barbs, and rest arch. They have done anything from farming legos and lavas to getting their heroes to lvl 15. Just bring in some heal/rage to help em sometimes get into the core of a tough base.

I recommend watching Beakers Lab on youtube, On his alt account he's a th8 with an almost maxed barb king (lvl 9), learn his strategy.
With King 5+, gibarch works great at th8. Great for storage raiding. No more than 12 giants. Great for hitting vault bases.
Dude, BARCH alone is just fine, here is what I wrote in another thread:
I barched my king to lvl 10 in gold 3. As long as they had at least 500 DE available that I thought I could get to (the ability to tell that comes with experience, I have definitely had a few fails) I would hit them. A lot of people would say only attack if they have 800 or more DE available but I found success with this formula as barching is quick and cheap!
If they had less than 500 DE but more than 300 available and it was easy (like behind one or two walls) I would usually go ahead and hit them as well. Don't worry about the other resources, and don't always worry about getting the win as it more about attack frequency. Just snipe every lvl 7 or level 8 town hall you come across (I didn't snipe strong TH9's because I didn't want to risk a bad revenge) to keep your trophy level up and you will be fine.
The most important thing is focus only on the DE available. If you get distracted by the other resources it will affect your DE per hour gains. Of course if you come across an inactive full collector base go ahead and take it.
For spells I carried 3 lightnings, I would use 1 lightening if I encountered a full clan castle (unless it had a dragon or giants of course) If I came across a REALLY juicy DE base (1000 or more) I might use 2 lightning spells to take out a particularly annoying mortar.
Also, I always carried 3 minions with me on every attack. I would only use them if I encountered giants in a clan castle, or if I needed those few extra percentage points to get 1 star. They can also be useful against a lure-able Barbarian King. I rarely had to use them though.
If I wasn't upgrading him, I would also boost my Barbarian King. For only 10 gems he will be available for almost every other raid if you are doing un-boosted barching.
My army comp is:
92 Archers
90 Barbs
6 Wall breakers
3 Minions

You dont need giant, use barch and burger king is enough. This guy just raid me using barch and burger king and get my dark elix storage. How he do it.
1. Destroy building outside
2. Deploy burger king as a tanker follow some wallb
3. Deploy barch
4. Enjoy

As TH8, u can Barch Garch BAG or BAM it pretty easily if you raid in sessions.
Tips:
Carry 20 or so Gobs (just sub in for Barbs, same price better results with the multiplier) they go right for the goods, and have decent health. if you create a path to the tank, they will clear it up quickly, Heal if necessary, or Rage, OMG they get down under rage!
~Kill any TH7 with 500 + (win for loot bonus)
~Try the TH8s with centralized protected Dark tank. Use a heal spell and WBs to get to the core, set them Gobs on it (win for loot bonus)
Farm any TH9s n 10s that are dead/dying for their exposed easily reached drills at the expense of trophies. Snip the THs in the league to maintain some balance
Spells. I used a lot of Heal and Thor, they cook the fastest and are the cheapest. you don't need them all the time either, but if it will help take home the score use em. If you boost SF then you can cook more rages in the mix and hit them harder and penetrate deeper to 3 layer stores more reliably. it will cost more Elixir but the following armies are pretty elixir and time friendly anyhow.
Armies:
Barch n BAM good and reliable for up to 2 layer raids with WBs (augment with 20-30 Gob for BAG, add 16 Minions for BAG'M)
Garch n WBs 8-12 Giants, 6-8 WBs Rest Arch. (I augment with 20-30 Gobs and 16 Minions for GAG'M very reliable)
GiBarch again use a few WBs. again augment with Gobs n Minions as see fit
just make sure to raid in sessions and don't log off till you are finished raiding. if you boost barracks then you will increase your loot potential. use shields wisely, don't raid once or twice and log off. it is counter productive.
Hunt in the G2-C2 leagues where its more plentiful, as mentioned hunt Dark only the rest will fall into place.
Put TH out in the corner un-defended and un-trapped, decorated with flags and torches and such.. it will be you best defense against hungry TH9s

You guys seriously use giants to farm? For me, i go to low gold 3 and barch w/ a rage spell. Timing is key with barch if you want to get into core. Sure i have fails once in a while but i hit th7s and th8s pretty hard.
Dont believe me?
I maxed every dark troop for th8. Farming de isnt hard unless you make it hard on yourself
