How to Giant healer for DE raid ?

I am currently th9, standing at Gold 1 (1877). Having

lvl 5 barb
lvl 6 arc
lvl 5 golb
lvl 6 giants
lvl 5 wb
lvl 5 loons
lvl 3 wiz
lvl 1 minion

What is the best troops composition for DE raid ? I read loons and minions seemed good for crystal. But my loons and minions are way too weak. Giants and healers seemed good, but what is the typical troops composition for this attack ? Do we need spells too ? Lastly what other DE raid troops composition I can test it out with my current troops level.

Giant heal speel is great

You don't want to raid for DE. You want to raid for elixir to upgrade your wizards to level 5, and THEN raid for DE using:

10-12 giants
10-20 wizards
4-8 wallbreakers
1-2 heal spells
barbarians, archers, and minions ad libitum.

At TH9, Giant-Healer isn't the best strategy to use. I would use balloonion to DE farm. However, read my guide if you want to try it. http://clashfordummies.com/2014/07/1...-healer-combo/

I have lvl 5 wiz. I just tried this troop composition, looks very good but very elixir expensive. Is there a cheaper method ?

BARCH or BAM in Crystal for league bonus & easy storages/drills. Cheap, quick, no spells needed, able to get into a lot of cores (especially with a hero or two).

I know this doesn't answer your question OP, but it's my method of getting DE.

I use 20 Giants, 12 wbs, 96 archers, spells (I carry 2 heal, rage and lightning) and heroes as necessary.

I works quite well, and is a much quicker build.

I am only at th8 with max troops and I raided th9 for DE with this army composition:
4 wiz
6 giants
6 wall breaker
12 minions
50 barb and the rest archers
3 heal spell
And of course with BK as a tank.

I tried giant/healer but it does not work. It only work with bases with weak air defense.

That is a typo sorry for that.

Also, don't forget to max out your DE collectors. At level 6 they produce 100 DE an hour. Doesn't seem like much, but over time it really adds up.
