Have farmed my heroes to max by using giants, archers and barbs, finished them on sunday.
my hh is just over 5.5 million and prior to maxing out heroes i hardly ever made a troop from the dark barracks.

Maybe the HH is more indicative of what league you spend most time in. If you are in high master or champ your HH is obviously going to be higher than it would be if your constantly farming in gold? Just a thought....
