Don't do dragons! They suck since update! 10 lv3 dragons with 3 lv4 rage spells and can't even 3 star anyone #8 or higher on war map now out of 15!
Since update dragons have sucked! Waste of money!
I literally just three starred a maxed out th8 with both mass drag/rage (lvl 3 drags and lvl 4 rage) and 813/lightning.
Are you not clearing a path for them?

You pick out a base with a hog ring (more or less) use 1-2 loons per defense (depending on distance and what not) draw out CC and kill it (and heros) with wizards and witches
Use a few hogs to clear remaining ring then send rest of hogs in (should go straight to core) hogs will clear up the rest
