Revamped Dark Gold Idea

Recently, someone made a post with a concept of a new resource called "Dark Gold". I am going to revamp it, and make it more realistic.

Dark Gold Storage Unlock: TH8
Dark Gold Mine Unlock: TH9

Dark Gold Storage Starting Capacity: 10000
Dark Gold Storage Capacity Increase upon Upgrade: 10000

Dark Gold Mine Starting Gold/Hour: 100
Dark Gold Mine Production Increase upon Upgrade: 100
Dark Gold Mine Starting Capacity: 1000
Dark Gold Mine Capacity Increase upon Upgrade: 500

Both Upgraded using Elixer, cost TBD

Max Level for both: 11


What does it produce?

Dark gold will be able to produce a variety of defenses. These include the following:

Shield: At level 1, all adjacent (including diagonal) buildings will be protected, and will take 50% damage. Upon level up, range increases, not effect. Shield effects cannot overlap. When shield is destroyed, all effects are gone. (Maximum of 4 shields per village)

Repair Hut: At level 1, when the village is under attack, 1 repair builder will be released. Repair builders will be able to repair DESTROYED buildings (only fully destroyed). It will take 1 builder 15 seconds to repair a building regardless of level or amount of health contained by said building. Once repair hut is destroyed, all repair builders die as well. Max 1 Repair hut, 1 builder per level hut, max level: 4


Obviously there are other things that dark gold would be used for, but these are just two ideas to show potential in the idea. Feedback is appreciated!

Imo, we don't need another Gold Resource. While i think Venoben/Asdmus's Holy Elixir is cool, I just don't see the need for it. your shield idea will be over used i guarantee it. place all four so the range overlaps the DE storage and it stops Zapping completely (probably what you were aiming towards but think of what it can do if you place all four so that it protects a max wiz tower. 4 shields, (50% at first, then 25%, 12.5% damage after that and then 6.25% damage if you make the right adjustments.) giants/Barchers will have no way of stopping a max wiz tower that takes so little damage from them. The repair hut (imo) is like the healer on DEF. it will become useless when a max army is charging through cause the defenses will get crushed whenever it is revived. just seems like a stall for time.

The only way is see that happening is if you mad the range so minute that it can only cover 4 spaces (2 from the center of the shield, then two into the center of the next structure next to it) That way, if you wanted to separate the two with walls, the shield wouldn't cover the Structure (ie defenses or DE storage) But it would still be possible to have the four shields be touching at one point with the right placement.
