Barrier for dark elixer storage

Yeah, I wasn't clear. I knew you meant revenge. However, now lower THs are at huge risk in getting revenged in addition to normal attacks.

I am referring to sub-Crystal play. We all know lots of TH9s and 10s play in Gold and Silver where it's primarily a TH7 and 8 level. So with no revenge penalty lower THs are at constant risk while the higher THs preying on the weak have every advantage.

If you want to implement no loot penalty on revenges, you have to increase penalties on standard attacks in lower leagues. Note that I don't include lower THs in Crystal or higher. If they want to hang with the big boys then they should be exposed to greater risk.

And the effect on TH sniping hasn't been mentioned. Can you imagine how the balance would be disrupted?

Say a TH7 snipes a TH9. So in return for a free shield, now the TH7 can lose 50 trophies and all his resources to a player he has literally ZERO chance of defending against.

The effects on the game could be catastrophic.

Not really. Again, revenge is non trivial. Most people are shielded when they aren't playing.

They have every advantage except one, loot. Consequently, loot for most is the most valued advantage. TH7 and TH8 have their pick of loot rich targets as well as very cheap upgrades relative to TH9 and TH10.

No you do not. There is no reason for a lower TH to attack an active higher TH except to DE zap. They have plenty of much much easier targets to choose from.

There is no trophy penalty, so your trophy argument is moot. They also don't lose all their resources. They lose some of them. Approximately one raid's worth. That is of course if they can actually get revenged, which is also quite unlikely.

The loot is also much harder to get. Loot efficiency is all about how much loot you can get in as little time as possible. Attacking the storages of TH9s and TH10s is not an efficient way for a TH7 or TH8 to obtain loot. It's far more efficient for them to attack down just like it is for TH9s and TH10s to do.

No you do not. There is no reason for a lower TH to attack an active higher TH except to DE zap. They have plenty of much much easier targets to choose from.

That's not true. There's hardly a disadvantage attacking one TH below. I routinely get smashed by 9s losing up to 300K of each plus 1800+ DE. And if it wasn't profitable, higher THs wouldn't play in Silver.

And there's plenty reason to attack higher THs. They may have poorly protected storages or I can still breach the core and get the DE I want, even if it takes my whole army and I lose trophies.

No trophy penalty? Then explain how I've lost 50+ trophies in the past in a revenge attack by a TH higher than me... Unless that was changed.

And of course not all their resources, but way more than should be lost when no defense is possible. No players in their right mind would snipe anymore.

There's also hardly any revenge penalty for a one TH difference. So I'm not sure how this helps your argument at all.

if you are routinely breaching the core of TH9 and TH10 bases as a TH8, you aren't raiding very efficiently or they are premature. If they are premature, then they are pretty much on equal footing with you anyway.

I fail to see how this change would do anything other than benefit higher THs. It gives them significantly more options while doing nothing but exposing lower THs.
