Then people would just spam them, causing all strategy, trophies, and purpose to be lost

Heck no not the king and queen.

I don't think a TH-targetting troop'd be a good idea, or you could bring a bunch of them, a bunch of wall breakers, and a few golems, along with a rage spell and some freezes and you got yourself a free star.

Not necessarily. If you take 200 goblins are you guaranteed to take every storage? Unless the base is weak as no chance.

As long as it is balanced it may work.

Absolutely no to King & Queen though; they are far too powerful for a favourite target.

Did you forget that the AQ does have a favorite target? it is walls.

i thought about this at some point as well. Why not have a troop that targets the TH?

Perhaps if it was incredibly expensive, and took up 40 spaces, and could only have 1 cooked at a time or something?

Call it the House Troll.
Fav targets: Town hall, maybe also Clan castle?
Relative DPS and HP same as BK, including upgrades. *no special ability*
housing space: 40
Cost: same as Hero?
limit 1 per cooked army. (no clue how to implement that)
immune to spring traps, to heavy.
unable to use jump spells, to heavy.

Strategy would be to drop this big troll about midway through an attack, hopefully once some defenses are down and walls are broken.

make him look like these trolls but angry?

This is the wrong sub-forum. This should have been in New Troops and Spells.
Regardless,this would destroy all of CoC's strategy.
Not only that, a few jump spells would easily grant you 1 star.
