No builder needed to upgrade Walls

FYI, walls never used to require a builder to upgrade, but due to popular demand, that feature was added.
People would dump all their spare gold into walls so that when they log off less was available to attackers.

In General there is a loot thread. 90% is complaints. Why would you want to add to that?

Really bad idea as storage loot would become harder to find under such a suggestion.

They reason u want to walls without builder is because you farmed excess loot, and would love to dump them into walls to avoid being raided. but if you are able to do that, you will never again find excess loot. Which makes the new feature useless. Plus everyone will be inactive while waiting for collectors to fill up. And that doesn't benefit Supercell a bit. So the answer is no....
