Should I gem my Barbarian King?

Hi guys, In about 25 hours I'm going to reach TH7, and I just wanted to know I'f I should gem my Barbarian King, currently I have 700+ gems and 3 builders. Any tips? Thanks!

get the 4th builder, farm the de in crystal. it wont take long. you can boost your spell fac and make lightning spells to drop on people with over 3k de in their storages, youll get over 1000 per raid + league bonus if you th snipe

I'm Currently at Silver 1 with 1200 plus trophies, thanks for the tip though. Gonna wait for more suggestions so I can make up my mind.

Gemming barbarian king is absolutely not worth it. Trust me. You will regret it
even if you don't play a lot and you manage to steal 400 dark elixir every day (gold II is a good place if you can't reach crystal) you will have the king in a couple of week

This is coming from someone who has gemmed both Archer Queen and Barb King on my first account. On 2nd account, I didn't even bother.

I would say it really is not worth it, half the time your barb king is alseep or time is spent upgrading.

Once you start farming efficiently, dark elixir is pretty easy to come by.

My recommendation, save gems for all 5 builders. Use remaining gems for barracks boost during maintenance breaks. You can farm a ridiculous amount during maintenance breaks.

But buying resources is always worst use of gems. Particularly dark, its stupidly expensive. Agree other posters.

Getting another builder will be more worth while. DE is very easy to get later on.

Don't gem ur barb atleasat not in the beginning.

Spent $5 gemming my king at TH7. WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE.
DE farming tutorial- Push to crystal. Bring lightning spells. Find an inactive base, Th 10 preferred, and drop the spells on their de drills (if you can't get to them). And train some giants, wizards, gobs, and look for TH8s with 600+ de. You'll be done in a few hours.

Maxed TH8, level 10 king.
ALTERNATIVELY, you can just wait till TH8, and do what I did: train 3 pekkas, 20 wizards, 5 giants, 10 WB's, and go after bases with 1k+ de. That was before the elixir walls update, so it might not work for you as elixir is worth as much gold now.
