Have it continue to sleep, but you can still take it into battle with its health at whatever point it was when you left to find a raid. Abilities could still be activated, but take out the healing part if their health wasn't full to start

I know that they can be quite powerful but it think they can be put to more use by spending most of their time at raids instead of sleeping/regenerating at your base.
And I'm not suggesting that the "sleep" time would be removed entirely. Heroes still need to rest and be inactive until they have full health, but only if their health falls down to zero in their last raid.

I would like to suggest to enable reviving of the heroes to full health (similar to re-arming traps) at the cost of Elixirs, but I guess many would scream OP. :rolleyes:
