I maxed my gowipe at th8 and doesn't regret it, do as much as you can until you feel ready to up your th

Depends, Dark elixir is so much easier to get at th9. I did golem level 2 while my th upgraded and I was fine. You will want golem 3+ for gowipe at th9, however and th9 has some big level 6 troop upgrades you will need first. If you have time, work on golems. Valks....i like them at max level, and the buffs have helped her, but she's still too expensive in de to be much good yet, I would wait on valks.
upgrade or it will just cost more to do the same thing later (due to loot bonus)

A fellow th9er and myslef just made champions league with golems and valks, he has lv 4 golems and lv 1 valks. I'm a th10 myself with lv 5 golems and lv 1 valks. So I say yes upgrade them when you can
If you are still upgrading other stuff like walls then upgrade your valks. They improve with upgrading. Golems at lvl1 would be good enough for you starting off life as a TH9. I only use them in clan wars.Quote:

This is basically my opinion as well. If all your buildings are maxed and you have 225 skull walls then go ahead and upgrade because sitting around at any TH level for just lab upgrades is a waste of opportunity. However, if you still have some skull walls to earn then you may as well work on your dark elixir lab upgrades while you finish the walls. I did every dark elixir upgrade possible when I was TH8 (meaning all lab upgrades and level 10 Barbarian King), but if you have nothing to spend regular elixir and gold on while your lab is upgrading the dark troops then you may as well go to TH9.Quote:

But Rule number 1 is that you should never let your builders by idle, so if you are done with all regular troops and def, you should go to th9. Farming dark elixir is much easier with the queen and lvl6 giants. I farm about 10K dark elixir per 2h boost, when only going for Gold/elixir. If you would farm for dark elixir, it would be at least 20K.
You also have 2 lvl6 dark drills instead of 1 lvl3 drill. This brings you 4800 dark elixir per day instead 1080.
