Don't think it will happen with such a short maintenance break...

Isn't it only updates for golden hour? Not maintenance breaks

Supercell has limited protection for active players after a maint. break......that's why you see the ghost towns. An update in October 2012 put this feature in to protect players who got booted and couldn't get back on quickly.
