Wait for your mines and pumps to produce resources I guess. Or you could buy resources with gems. Not much else you can do.
lol I always make sure I have 100K more gold for an upgrade than I need and have a full army training in rax before buying upgrade unless im not gonna play for a few hrs. anyways, just wait for ur collectors
