Protection from lightning spells?

It keeps coming up as many players don't like the current system. It simply gets down to the fact that this is the ONLY attack in the game that your defenses can't counter or mitigate. My base is maxed but for walls and heroes, yet some TH 7 can grab over 1k DE with just lightning strikes. I understand why many players like this as this is their best bet for getting DE. But, you can' tell me it's balanced with the rest of the game.

posted 1001 times, read stickys, part of game, remove thread along with the other 1000 that complain about lightning de or other storages. Get revenge, live with it.

Its balanced because its how the spell was designed. To circumvent defenses to deal damage that you can't counter. Zapping is fair in the sense that anybody and everybody can do it

What an asinine statement. Unless you farm in C1 and up, you are always farming villages that are the same or lower level than you. There are wide variance of village levels from G3 to G1 and lower. Most people farm in the gold leagues and if you are 9 picking on an 8 that's awful? Get a clue and learn to play the game and stop calling people hypocrites for playing the game the way the devs have it set up. Also, have you ever heard of loot penalty?? Yeah, I'm not going to be attacking a th7 anytime soon.

If rather have someone zap me for 1k than raid me for 3k. But of you want an honest raid and you want to lose more, that's youe opinion. Just put your th outside, get a shield, move on with your life.

How is it balanced when a TH 7 can use it to steal far more than a 10 can do in return? Don't forget the loot penalty / bonus for TH differentials. As such, revenge is also usually pointless as you get little for it as the higher level TH.

currently, it's rewarding lower players. Period.

My TH has been outside my walls since nearly the start of my playing. Pointless statement as you're not always going to be shielded. You're going to get raided.

again, I get why people, esp at lower levels, like it. But, I still maintain it's not balanced.

Sure it is balanced. A maxed 8 can crush a new 8 for way more. a 9 can do even worse.
