This is absolutely crazy. my first day in th9.

Edit. I think everyone miss understand the reason of my thread. It was to highlight that why ppl not taking out my th. Is it soo hard to put 5 barbs/archers in a corner b4 starting raid ?

Ok so I logged off doing my work there I got a notification my villlage was raided.

I thought ok this is not new I checked and some idiot thought that 5 archers/barbs would help him grabbing my 700k resources but he failed and got 200k and left with 32% and 30k gold rearming cost for me.

I logged off and got busy then later when I checked 2 atacks on me and first idiot attacked with 25 giants and ended up taking only 25k exile who also thought 5 archers/barbs will help him get that 700k resources.

2nd guy was some hardcore farmer and took 500k resources and left me with 70k rearming cost. My most traps were armed by the 1st guy and cc was empty.

Note. All the above attacks was from th9's with AQ and lvl 6 giants.
My base was maxed th8 all defence and walls.

Is this a normal life of th9 in coc ?

Also until th8 max resources could be stolen from me was 300k of each.
Why on th9 it's 350k each available? That too I had only 3mil of each.

lol. Dude, wait until you try to raid. You'll see what we mean when we say SC pretty much sucked the fun out if the game.

Oh, and if you haven't, u should set the game to give you notifications. That way u know when you're raided and you can reset traps. United ur sleeping I guess. That's when I get nailed

The cap on the max that can be looted goes up every town hall level after th7/8 I think hence it going from 300 - 350.

Yeah I know that. That's the thing makes me super mad.

Bcoz for that much resources I had to raid more then 2 hours continue without logging off.

Now this makes me spend all my resources on walls and even if I had to save for a upgrade I don't want to.

Yup. Hence why I can't see why people think Lix for walls is a good idea. They can't possibly play th9+. That or they are trolling or shills I guess.

well that life for TH 9. first rule are..never store gold/lix more then you need. if you want say up something that cost 4 mill...just do session from 1 or 2 mill and immiediatly spend it before log off..or just dump it on wall. even with my middle th 9 base with max splash if somebody with skill want to attack it, they will get atleat 4 storage. doesnt matter what your base design. ..

Yes, that is exactly what it takes. If you want to keep your resources, your town hall should be unprotected in the corner. Protecting your town hall is just asking for much larger amounts of resources to be taken from you.

Your layout and/or defense is weak for a TH9. You just got to live with it until you get your x-bows.

You must be low town hall 9 with lots of elixir upgrades left if you don't see any benefit in it. Elixir on walls is awesome!

I am on 2nd day so I had to save resources now for upgrades. Can't spend on walls right now. But with this crazy ♥♥ I might end up spending everything on walls b4 logoff.

I m looking for any th9 base which can atleast protect my half resources.

Pls share link for base which did u any good.

Yeah I know it's part of game as I mentioned in first post when I got raided I thought it's not new.

The thing which is crazy is they don't wanna take th which is already in corner without traps.

Don't put it in corner. Put the th on edge of your base so they basically HAVE to take it out to get to your resources. Works great for me. That way they can just snipe it if they want, or if they want your loot they have to take it out first thus at least giving you a shield.

Pretty much this, when people raid storages they don't want to give you a shield, all they care about is loot so even the additional Archers it takes to snip your TH will be used to raid your storages, also some people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s they don't snip your TH so in case they failed the raid they won't end up giving you a free shield.

That is a good idea. I often miss TH which are sitting on the edge of the base.

I used to have mine closer to the main base... but just out of reach of the defenses. Pop up teslas and big bombs behind the TH said " stay out" to attackers that dared venture in any further

Try mostly maxed. People like you only care about yourselves and can't see how it effects the game. I mean your post doesn't even make sense. Walls are just at one more thing to sink Lix into now. Why would I see another Lix hole as a benefit if I had lots of other things to update using lix? Does not compute

It's the sole reason there is no more elixer in the game. Gold was bad but at least we could still build and play. Not now. Look at the loot thread. People like you are in the very small minority. Lix for walls has basically ruined the fun of the game.

Every transition to a new TH is like this. When I was in your boat i suspected supercell purposely guided strong TH9/10s to raid my TH8 base EVEN while my TH was upgrading to 9!

Of course when the TH finished the upgrading i immediately spent the resources.

Even as a strong TH9 now I always keep 1 sometimes 2 of the 3 resources low.

Don't expect to have lots of res and not attract the big boyz. It's the way the game is.

I generally feel as I grow my base there will be less and less people prone to actually attack it within the CoC community

agree with this. although i am a max th10 with nothing to do with elix, i liked it better before, i can use and abuse my spells and army to farm massive amounts of de. now i barch/bam/arch coz i cant stop buying walls with elix, and its not like loonion plus spells could be profitable on elix anyways.

Yep. Growing pains lol. I got squashed repeatedly early on as a new th9. Not so much now and I'm not even that far advanced.

Not just the attacks, but also the loots will give you a lot of frustrations.

TL;DR version: Yes, it sometimes is like this at the beginning, no it won't always be this way

Ok, so hindsight advice - you should enter your first day of TH9 with full stores and idle builders, so on your first momens at TH9 you can dump everything into building your new stuff. There are endless "what to build in what order" guides out there. So IDEALLY your first week essentially you've spend every last drop doing upgrades. Like the AQ - she should have been built (and ideally upgraded once) on day 1. Hopefully you arrived with skull walls, too.

Let's set that aside for a moment. The bad news, even if you do that, is you're clearly fresh meat when you go from "the best THx" to "the worst THx+1" - for about a month. You'll have to slog through it. It's gonna suck a bit. However the non-snipes or non-th raids seem to go in cycles - I had a number of them in a row, then a long series of snipes, with outright clear base to cinders raids on me my first month.

After a month you can put up reasonable resistance - your 4th mortar and wiz tower should be respectable, two l1 xbows, hopefully 1 or more l7 upgrades done on the wiz towers, and the 4th tessla all should provide decent deterrents to silly raids.

Hang in there. It gets better. But it's not as much fun as Th8. I'm a couple months (I think, it's all a blur of builders) in and it's getting noticably better all around.

I'm using a slightly modified TH9 farming base I found on the internets which is working fine for me - I didn't change layouts until I had both xbows and all new defenses upgraded a couple levels. Pick a base - there is no perfect one, so try out several until you find one that works for you.

And yeah I i got 2 xbows AQ lvl 2 lab upgrade new drill aarmy camp upgrading on first day.

Hopefully after my xbows finished it will get a bit better.

Loot cap for th 9 = 350 k per resources. This happen when u get like, 2.9 m resources. So in case u stored 3 m+ resources, other th 9 can loot you for 350 k. and th 10 can loot u for 320 k (10% penalty).

When u were th 8, even with loot cap of 300 k, th 9 could only take around 270 k from u due to loot penalty. And th 10 won't bother raiding u.

So yeah, now u get higher level town hall, everyone can loot u for more. And that +80 k loot which can be taken from u might be shocking for newly upgraded th 9.

Well...there's always someone willing to squash you no matter how strong you are. Im a somewhat close to max th9, and just got crushed by a th10 with level 33 heroes. Took thousands in de, my pride, and trophies. I even think I saw his BK carting away my village wenches. He beat me so bad, im now a th8 again. Lol

Haha I feel ya! I have a completely exposed th on the corner, decorations and a white flag next to it, yet in 6 days I've won 3 defenses. Each killed my cc and some traps. Luckily only once did another come and attack a second time, and he failed. 1 lix storage, 1 gold storage, 1/3 DE storage and he had 4 spells too ;)
The other 2 times, I just got sniped on the second defense, so all is good :)

As a new th9, you are now available for th10 looting, too. You went from having 150k/150k/1000 available for th10s to 315k/315k/2250 by upgrading your townhall.

If you drop down to silver 1 or gold 3, there are fewer well-developed th9 and th10 bases, so there are fewer guys who can steamroll you.

Plus there are loads of weak bases to loot, even th7s are still worth hitting when they have full collectors.

Never break a shield unless you can attack twice, which is enough to cover the losses.

And Xbows do help, especially when they are level 3.

Sounds about right for your first days as TH9. It gets better when you get AQ and xbows.

You are just unlucky. Like you I went to TH9 3d ago (not even max th8 but max wall) with max storages, bought AQ to lv2, 2xbow, a camp, lab and spell factory within the first 12h, now im stuck with max storage again and no builder available till tomorrow night...

Im in C3 since TH8btw...I have been attacked only once (giant/healer Th9 who took 100k/each and 2DE lol) since im TH9 with 350/350/2k ressource available the whole time. For me you are just more often sniped when in a highter league than lower.

♥♥♥♥ i i just got squashed too. He took 390k 320k, 1900 de. Luckily he spared the wenches. Lvl 30 heroes.

I m in gold 3 now and finding a bit hard to get loot.

I maxed my defense, walls, and hero at th8 before I moved to th9 giving me a smooth transition somehow. I upgrade my spell factory and lab, bought AQ, build 2 xbows and other new defenses in my first day on th9. I stayed in gold 3 league so that I wouldn't be always crushed by th9.

Starting on a new the level is tough since you are still under level to your peers. But once you got those xbows up and running, you will have an even fight against your peers. And having AQ will have a great boost to your farming.

Right now, I am happily barching to crystal 2 league. Good luck to your endeavors at th9.

Ik I will get rolled over. As i said in first post i was maxed th8 for defence and walls and I believe my base held up pretty good against first 2 attackers all with both hero's and spells and lvl 6 giants but 3rd time my traps were armed already no cc troops and the guy had lvl 17 aq.

Th9 sucks completely until you get xbows. Thats how it was for me. Id lose 350k of each every time i got raided until xbows.... It sucks but you just gotta role with it.
