Th 10 farming elixir in golden league?

Hey, i'm a th 10 and i can't save my elixir due to spell usage. I am a th 10 for nearly 1 month and i can't fill my elixir storages... i've never done any th10 elixir upgrade such as army camps and laboratory. I actualy can't pass the 2 million elixir mark. I've been stuck here at the 2 million elixir mark for 3 weeks... gold is better to get.
I want to know if i , as a th 10 can farm at golden league. I want to particulary farm elixir. Do i need to use spells to farm at golden league?
