When to go to TH10

I would like some advice on when to head to TH 10. And before I hear max everything Im not going to do that. I have however finished all of my lab upgrades minus 1 level of pekka and 1 level of golem. my teslas are level6 wiz towers level 6 bows level 2. air d is 3ea level 6 1 level 7 I have been at th9 for over 6 months and am intrigued about the possibilities of upgrading. i am a level 92

Positives if i head into TH 10 I will get the infernos more troops, max troops extra spell as well as freeze.

I am seeing so many TH10 in crystal and in war that all of my defenses are stronger than except that have infernos and i can't touch them

Obviously the downside is less loot from th9 and 8.

Tell me some benefits of going or if you went up around around my level. Tell me the positives or negatives.

Or you could search the forums for the dozens of other threads about upgrading to th10. Pretty sure the answers are the same.

I would simply stay at th9, at th10 you would be an easier target for all the other th10's. :)

You say you're not going to max everything. So really it's when YOU feel ready. Get your walls to level 10 & those xbows upgraded in my opinion.

If you really want to go to th10 and getting sick th9 then you should do it, BUT if your goal is to eventually have a maxed base, then you should not. Most people are debating to go up to th10 with maxed defenses but don't have maxed walls and heroes, and even Then it's better not to upgrade. You, however, have a lot of defense that aren't maxed out so its defienitly not a good idea to move up to th10

I went to Town Hall 10 in December last year.

I had maxed all my th9 defences except traps and teslas. My walls were level 7 and I really cannot remember about heroes, at a guess maybe level 12 or something.

Ultimately it is up to you if you tke the chance by upgrading your town hall, but I would at least max the defences and get lv8 or 9 walls. The reason I say this is that over the past 11 months I have seen a drop in loot for town hall 10, otherwise depending on how far th9 you are I would say take a chance.

My partner has th9, and it is getting maxed defence, lv9 walls and maybe some 10s.

talk about overkill on the walls.

Usually my advice is to upgrade your TH whenever your defences, lab upgrades or walls are done but it seems like your defences have fallen far behind your lab (only 3 builders?) so I would stay a while longer.

The TH 10 lab upgrades aren't that important but if you're eager to move up I'd settle with xbows to lvl 3 and max wiz towers.

Have you upgraded your lava hound?

You should read the loot thread sticky before deciding to move up to 10, a lot of unhappy campers up here.

I went th10 fairly recently (a week or two after the lava hound update) and I'm doing fine. I had lvl 6/7 walls, lvl 3 xbows, lvl 7 wt and mortars, lvl 5 ad, lvl 10 cannons and at's, and lvl 10 heroes. I'm doing fine. I have both IT's (one upgrading to 3 and one at 2), the 3rd xbow (upgrading to 2), my skelly traps are maxed, my 4th mortar is lvl 7, I've upgraded the lab and spell factory, I've upgraded archers and barbs to lvl 7, and I have 1 army camp upgrading.

I barch in crystal 2/3 and I'm making plenty of loot. The win bonus definately helps.

I'm glad I upgraded to th10.

What level are your walls?

It sounds like you want to upgrade to TH10 without maxing everything, so you should just do it.

Thanks for the responses. I have all level 7 walls. It sounds like max the wiz towers, xbows, teslas and go. If I do that i will definitely have all of my troop upgrades complete. Might take a month or so. My heros are both level 10 I can add a few levels during this time for them to.

At least get level 8 walls lol... Only takes like a week.

I'm going for level 9 walls and level 20 heroes before i upgrade.

if your plan is to go up when your not maxed, then it seems that you meet your prerequisites so just head on up :)
But don't expect to do another wall upgrade again.
Most people debate whether to continue farming walls after maxed or just go up, because of how bad loot is.

Not for getting attacked by TH bases it won't be, especially with maxed wallbreakers.

Level 10 walls takes about 3 months of dedication... It's definitely overkill lol.

Walls don't make much of a difference. They make some, especially for messed up attacks, but with jump spells and how powerful wall bombers are, you can do fine with lvl 8. Most in my clan have below lvl 8 and they do fine in wars, even the TH10's.

And the majority of TH10's get along fine with much lower than lvl 10 Walls. I just got all my walls up to lvl 9, and I'm fine. Otherwise, maxed TH10 w/ Lvl 20 heroes and all units/spells maxed. I would much rather have Infernos, Another X-bow, 20 more Camp spots, Freeze Spell, another spell slot, additional hero levels, etc than lvl 10 walls opposed to lvl 8.

I had a mix of Lvl 7 and lvl 8 walls when I made the jump (soon after TH10 was released) after mortars, WT, and Xbows were maxed for TH9. Worked fine.

Idk why people are even mentioning lavas when this guy has level 7 walls. I had full skulls after a month into town hall 8 because loot is great at every level before th10 and you should take advantage of it.

People often say walls don't matter, "oh pink or purple is fine" and in some cases its true like when you get attacked with air or hogs. But at higher levels you will get crushed by GOWIPE and GOWIWI in clan wars and high trophies. There is also the respect factor when other people check out your base, you will get instant respect by clanmates if you have atleast skulls as a th9 and at least legos as a th10.

But listen, if you feel the need to get infernos freeze spell etc while your base still looks like a town hall 7 then don't let anyone stop you. Just know that another person in your position who takes advantage of the loot at the lower town hall can and will max their base as a town hall 10 before you. Even if you upgrade months before them.
