The *official* DE zap revenge thread

No judgement here - we all get to choose the way we want to play the game!

I believe all of us know the pain of having our DE zapped when we're so close to having enough for that next big dark troop upgrade. And many of us believe that revenge must be taken to right this wrong :D.

In honor of that, I invite you all to post your screen shots and videos of your satisfying revenge attacks against all those who've felt your wrath. Let's keep a running total on the net loss our foes have suffered.

I'll kick it off with this kind gentleman who was nice enough to zap me and leave his base open for attack this morning:

After an epic fail trying to get at my DE storage with nothing but archers and gobs, this nice fellow zapped me to salvage his attack.

Zappers only encourage a revenge - I would never have attacked him otherwise, and he'd be better off for it!

Cus i have done some nasty things the last 60hrs.

Nice of this fellow to only drop a single lightning spell, makes it easy to profit on the revenge!

I'm a th8 and believe me those revenge are nothing. I revenge attack the th9s who take a lot of loot from me. Anyone who has taken over a 100k from me becomes a revenge target. Since most of them are farming and usually have a lot of de, I get around 1k-1.1k each revenge. So it goes both ways.

You missed the whole point of the thread. This isn't "show me your best revenge attacks". I've done countless revenge attacks for big loot, some as high as 400K/400K/3K.

This is about revenging the players who attack you by dropping lightning on your DE storage. There are many players (including me) who feel it is our duty to always revenge these players no matter what the cost. Even if we only profit 100 DE it's worth it. I thought it might be fun to have a place to post these types of revenges since they are by far the most satisfying.

When you start saving for golem 2 or hogs 5 and see a ton of your DE being zapped away you'll understand what I'm talking about.

I totally understand what you're getting at here. Saving up for my queen has not been easy these past few days - right now I'm sitting at 34k dark elixir and get zapped just about every day. It's a rotten feeling when you get taken for 700 dark elixir. I haven't been able to revenge any of these guys for profit either. Any quick tips for conserving my DE?

Not much you can do against the zappers. Keep your TH outside obviously, hope for a snipe.

When I get close to an upgrade, I set aside time to farm my way up to finish. For example, I just started golem3 a few days ago. I needed 70K DE. Once I passed 40K I started getting zapped. I farmed slowly over a few days and pushed it up to around 58K even with zap losses. Once I hit 58K I stopped attacking until the weekend. When I had ~4 hours of spare time I ran boosted raids only looking for DE of more than 1000. I blew past 70K and started the upgrade as soon as I had enough.

Maybe this did not catch your attention. You attack them, they attack you. That's how it always goes. That's how it will be. If you believe it is your duty or you are somehow obligated to revenge lower town halls I would not stop you or judge you. Lower town halls will still keep zapping. So make a million threads about it, I hardly see it stopping.

I'm trying to farm low now, around silver 1/gold 3. Obviously, gold 3 will hold more DE, but my base gets wiped more often, so its currently a risk I am willing to take.

You're still not quite getting the point.

They can't attack me because I'm revenging them. You do realize that revenge can't just keep going back and forth right? Let me try to explain this one last time... but really after this I'm giving up.

It's not about lower townhalls. That has nothing to do with this. I'm getting zapped by TH9's and even TH10's sometimes.

Yes, I saw your statement of "it goes both ways". But that doesn't make sense in the context of this thread. Please go back and read my original post more carefully - I clearly outline this as a log of people who get zapped and get revenge on the zapper. That closes the loop, end of story. They can't come back and re-revenge.

When did I ever say this was about stopping it? It's just a fun thread to prove that sometimes zapping DE storage can be counter-productive to saving up DE. You often will lose a lot more than you gained because most players are religious about always revenging DE zappers. The logs I've posted clearly show that.

DE zap backfire personified. What's not to love about this very nice person who not only gave me a double DE refund, but provided another 400K of loot as additional interest on his loan ;)

I get my DE zapped away but it's part of the game; no less annoying than people investing whole gowiwi gowipe hog armies to savage my base (rarely happens but oh well).

But I do understand your frustration, it tends to happen more in Gold 2 downwards by the way, so farming in Crystal 3 or Gold 1 may get you zapped less; although you will have full raiders stealing 2k DE per raid as they invest proper armies/attacks, so actually, DE zaps may be better for you, unless you don't get a shield and then you get wiped after that

Gold 1 and Lower Gold 2 currently you will find guys with between 500-2500 DE; normally i can find a 900-1000 after 10 or so skips. Barch armies with perhaps a few wbs and a heal will get you that easily; 1k every barch aint bad.

I don't think OP's point was to get people to stop, it's a fun thread to keep his personal tabs on players he believes play a very annoying style. And at OP I think kj knows you can't keep revenging a revenged attack, he means that people will attack you and you'll revenge them etc.

Yes, exactly - thanks Shintenshi. It's part of the game and I accept it - and even encourage it based on this thread. In almost every case of someone zapping my DE I revenge them for more than they originally took.

I don't want it to stop - I just like to keep a log. I assumed a few more people would join.

I've been farming C2-M3 for the past month so don't have any new ones to post. Apparently people in higher leagues don't bother since the DE is so plentiful and attacks are a little more aggressive (loonion, etc.)

This guy zapped me yesterday and boy was the revenge sweet. I probably lost resources but I love smashing Zappers

As you can see I was zapped twice in a row. I got them both :D

What trophy range are y'all at? I haven't been zapped in well over a year. And i consistently have 2k de up for grabs. Also I miss those days of zapping- I thought it was the only way to get enough de for my king a year and a half ago but it was worth it. And once I got my bking I quickly leveled him to 5 with mass dragons - I miss those days to be honest. Loot was incredible now I rarely find good loot.

There's no shame in zapping. And there's no blame/shame in showing a revenge for an attack and comparing the stats.
