Lv 11 Mines/ Elixirs boosting
-Boosting costs 20 gems for 6 hours duration for 2x production
-lv 11 mines produces 3000 per hour
-6 hrs of boost will net you 18000 gold/elixir
-1 gem nets you 900 gold/elixir

Compared to instant gold/elixir
-2000 gems will get you 6 Million of gold/elixir (1 gem = 3000)
-1133 gems will get you 3 Million of gold/elixir (1 gem = 2647)
-389 gems will get you 600K of gold/elixir (1 gem = 1542)

Conclusion:
- Never boost your mines / elixirs
- Instant gold/elixir gets cheaper the more you buy (bulk discount)
- Boosting gold/elixir requires you to wait 6 hours to realize the profit

Not true anymore!

after the post x-mas update Jan 8 2014 mines and elix boost costs 11 gems for 24 hours.
3000x24h=72000
72000/11 gems = 6545,5

Conclusion: Now you get more than DOUBLE the resources when boosting mines/elix compared to buying them with gems!
(if I'm not totally wrong!)

Now let's just hope it stays that way!

when u have big army troops

examply 8 wiz 20 hogs rest archers i just boost 1 barack and a d.e baracks

and it saves me so much time i do raids a lot faster takes me only 15 min to get my army full

Wow this is an old thread and some of the info is way out of date lol ik for over 6 months now boosting lvl 11 collectors is way cheaper than buying the rss up front from the store. It's about a 50% discount for 11 gems per collectors for 24 hrs

But since this forum is searchable by less experienced people than yourself.... and has top Google ranking... people who search for topics on resource boosting will end up here. And since all info they get among the top search 10 results is saying "do not boost!" ( like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7Oy4LzCHJA), I just wanted to help out.

The best thing would be if SC closed this thread like Grantb123 suggested!
