There's all this talk about maxing out your town hall before moving up due to the loot bonus. I have been following this including maxing walls. With 4 builders, I'm now waiting like 2 days at a time due to all the defensive upgrades. I'm nearly done upgrading all of my defenses but have one question. Should I also max out my collectors?
Collectors are important for TH9, so I would say to upgrade them during TH7 or TH8. Is it necessary? Absolutely not
I asked the same question when I was TH7 and then decided to just left all my mines/collectors at lvl10. They're not necessary as I normally get the resources from raiding. I treat the resources I got from mines/collectors as bonus for me when I collect them every morning :D. Will max them all in later stage of TH8 though, as TH9 will be a hard hard life :rolleyes:

Collectors aren't so important at TH 8. Im 2 days away from my th 8, and i maxed all my defense and walls. However, my majority of my collectors are only lvl 6/7. You could always upgrade them while your waiting for TH to finish. If your worried about resources.
I hear TH7 is the most fun to be in. I'm personally going to be maxing everything other than my Barbarian king before moving on to TH8
You dont need to worry about your BK/collectors/barracks
I agree that the game is fun at TH7. I recently upgraded to TH8 and it has become really boring for me.. there is definitely less loot around, everything is very expensive and takes forever to upgrade and you get hit more often by TH9s with lvl6 troops. It is no longer possible to just sit down and raid until you have enough for an upgrade since the prices are so high. I can't even imagine how it's like at TH9...
I maxed out everything at TH7 except elixir collectors (left them at 8) and walls (I still had 75/175 at level 6), but decided to upgrade as there was nothing for the workers and lab to do. Now I wish I had done the rest of the walls too.
My advise is to stay as long as you can at TH7 where the game is still fun.
I maxed everything except barracks before TH8. L11 collectors/mines are great IMO. If you are going to do them at some point, why wait? THe faster you get them up and running the more resources you will get out of them.Quote:

only thing i wont uograde is everythig that u uograde with dark elkxer, u only get that easier at th9

I would say either max it at TH7 or TH8, but I would recommend at TH8.
Issue with maxing at th7 is that, you will most probably have max Lv7 walls, and everything fully upgraded except mines, which would make you waste ALOT of gold/elixir if you are just waiting for the mines/collectors.
However, if you are doing it at TH8, you can take the extra time to upgrade your Lv10 BK, or Lv8 walls, which takes a much much longer time than Lv7 walls or Lv5 bk.
Not to mention you can use the elixir for lab upgrade.
Hence I recommend you to up at TH8, where your other resources would not be wasted.

Where did you learn math? Pretty sure 3k an hour x 24 hours in a day = 72k of each resource a day. Total 144k a day for maxed mines/collectors. For lv8 mines/collectors its only 50k total less a day...not 232kQuote:

If your base is well defended you will lose about 10% from your collectors. This means you will have an extra million per week. Seems like an really easy 1 million to me.

ve found that a couple clicks in the morning give me about 250k of each resource. (yes, I sleep for a long time.) Most people are only able to take 40/40k from me each night while getting at least 40% which gives me 12 hr shield. So, my collectors make 250 while 40k is stolen which gives me a net gain of about 200k after replacing traps. 200/200k is like one extra raid. Your choice.
My level 10 collectors are serving me well in DTP's trophy hunt. Never running out of elixir :)

Maxed collectors will come in handy at TH9 where loot penalty hits you hard, but it's not critical to have them maxed asap. I say upgrade as much as you can stomach before getting bored, and do the rest piecemeal during TH8. If you have a couple of days where you know you can't raid due to work/family or what not, and couldn't save up enough for the big upgrade before a builder is free, you can do collectors instead since those cost very little to upgrade.

I'd say upgrade everything you can update, regarding the town hall limitations. Including mines, collectors, drills etc.
The game gets more complicated the farther you get :D
Don't feel like you have to rush. :)
I rushed my TH6 to get to TH7..only put up walls, splash turrets, couple barracks, then went up to 7.
I was hurting for elix, so I sucked it up and got my average lvl7-8 pumps going. the Gobs go nuts for them even tho they are upgrading, so it was part of my base strategy to use them to tank up some damage while my stores stayed safe, and my turrets killed them. (and they got little to nothing)
now I am at the end of my TH7 (wed after noon Im TH8)
have 3/6 lvl 11 Elix pumps (well 2 more will be 11 before TH finishes) so really 5/6
Gold mines are 4/6 are lvl 11. I will upgrade them when my defenses get costly and time consuming to give builders long build-breaks and get walls put up.
the ROI sucks initially, (really its just the time that sucks; if you raid a lot its not real noticeable) but they are well worth the time and money (relatively cheep upgrades too considering, and they have large HP) plus they just reduced the time so there is no real reason not to before you go to TH8 and really need them more than previous TH builds.
so IMO; either do it while TH upgrades, if they don't max before the TH finishes, make the new TH toys, then after you have a good chunk of the def turrets or walls up/ troops upgraded mix the pumps in to fit the builder schedule more.. but some how fit the time in there, its worth it. the math don't lie, and when you wake and return from work/school (if applicable) its a mini raid with no revenge or troops lost!
