There's all this talk about maxing out your town hall before moving up due to the loot bonus. I have been following this including maxing walls. With 4 builders, I'm now waiting like 2 days at a time due to all the defensive upgrades. I'm nearly done upgrading all of my defenses but have one question. Should I also max out my collectors?
Collectors are important for TH9, so I would say to upgrade them during TH7 or TH8. Is it necessary? Absolutely not
I asked the same question when I was TH7 and then decided to just left all my mines/collectors at lvl10. They're not necessary as I normally get the resources from raiding. I treat the resources I got from mines/collectors as bonus for me when I collect them every morning :D. Will max them all in later stage of TH8 though, as TH9 will be a hard hard life :rolleyes:

Collectors aren't so important at TH 8. Im 2 days away from my th 8, and i maxed all my defense and walls. However, my majority of my collectors are only lvl 6/7. You could always upgrade them while your waiting for TH to finish. If your worried about resources.
I hear TH7 is the most fun to be in. I'm personally going to be maxing everything other than my Barbarian king before moving on to TH8
You dont need to worry about your BK/collectors/barracks
I agree that the game is fun at TH7. I recently upgraded to TH8 and it has become really boring for me.. there is definitely less loot around, everything is very expensive and takes forever to upgrade and you get hit more often by TH9s with lvl6 troops. It is no longer possible to just sit down and raid until you have enough for an upgrade since the prices are so high. I can't even imagine how it's like at TH9...
I maxed out everything at TH7 except elixir collectors (left them at 8) and walls (I still had 75/175 at level 6), but decided to upgrade as there was nothing for the workers and lab to do. Now I wish I had done the rest of the walls too.
My advise is to stay as long as you can at TH7 where the game is still fun.
I maxed everything except barracks before TH8. L11 collectors/mines are great IMO. If you are going to do them at some point, why wait? THe faster you get them up and running the more resources you will get out of them.Quote:
