Help Improve My Balloon Attacks

Well guys after failed balloon attack after failed balloon attack I gave up on them for awhile, just to get my base smashed by a balloon attack 3 staring me with like 18 balloons and 4 lava hounds. This woke me up to the fact that Ballooning is a good attack, I just need to get better at it. Here are my last 2 war attempts. Couldnt finish it off on either attack, critique please?

NOTE: I am a TH9, so no freeze spells yet. Lvl 6 balloon Lvl 1 Lava Hound.

you don't need lava hound to 3 star a TH9, loonion alone is enough..

I've even 3 starred an average TH9 (similar to the ones in your replays) with my 2 months old account in last cw: 32x lv6 loons, 25x lv2 minions + 3 healing spell, 5xlv6 loons in cc. (camps cap. 210), lv4 BK & lv3 AQ.

A) make sure you lure full CC if you're going to lure!!
B) probably fewer hounds and more loons
C) a handful of minions
D) add a heal spell (potentially even 2-3 heals)

I didnt even realize that I didnt lure the whole CC until reading this post and going back and watching the first vid! Whoops!

You like heal spells over Rages?

This is actually the attack that 3 starred me that Ive been trying to Emulate. I thought 4 Lava Hounds was overkill though so I dropped back to 3. You guys think I shouldnt be using any though?

I wouldn't recommend this style of attack... throwing out all loons and lava hound out, wait for a 100% and have no control on the troops... nope, i don't like that. Besides, why spend that much of DE when you can 3 star with loonion only.

Personally i would use lava hounds vs TH10 only because of the infernoes... vs th9, I use loonion.

I'm attacking the same type of bases in C2, C1...I use regular balloonion with 24/50 and no spells to get 2 stars most of the time.

If I up the # of balloons and use 4 spells, I'm confident I can do better than your results with those hounds.

Your saying 24 balloons and 50 minions? Happen to have any vids of your attacks? Im curious when and how you place the minions

Sorry buddy, I don't have any :(

For the easier bases like the ones in your vids, I usually attack from a corner or a side, line of minions behind.
Save a few minions to pick off buildings along with AQ & BK.

I use 2 rage, 1 heal, 1 lighting for cc.
I don't use balloonion in war, so I'm almost always certain the lightning is necessary to destroy cc wizzies/acrhers.
In war, there might be a dragon, so luring is definitely necessary. In war, I would probably use 3 rage, 1 heal

So I tried going with a 28 balloon 40 minion attack in war since some people said about not needing lava hounds against TH9s. Total fail, where did I go wrong, seems like my balloons never had a chance? Looking at his town before my attack I thought id 3 star him...

I dropped down a little lower with my second attack and hit a young TH9 and brought lava hounds this time and did pull off the 3 star, but I still worried about timing out....
