before anyone says it's based on more than hero levels, let me enlighten you that if your heros are that advanced so is your base and troops...
between poor loot and unfair war match ups, this game has become a lot less fun!

in all the equations we have run it ignores hero level. It puts allot more weight on average town hall. In my opinion rightly so. Wining or losing in war has become more about how rushed or maxed your clan is?
At least this is true at the level we are playing.

What do you mean by average town hall? If I look at our clans bases vs their clans bases they are far more advanced then us. Including defenses, walls, troops and spells.Quote:

How long did it take for you to search in clan war.
If it takes more than 20 mins, our leader cancels it and starts again, we have been mismatched before but it was us who were stronger. He says it prevents mismatches (Superstitious? IDK - it worked for us).
It happens sometimes. You will get matched against a weaker clan sometimes to make up for it.

Do you think its fair when the clan your matched up with has players with lvl 30+ heroes in their top ten players whereas your top ten only has 1 or 2 players with lvl 15+? Heroes make a big difference in the game, especially when a large chunk of players are separated by hero level.Quote:

^This. All this ranting for one mismatched war is ridiculous. Unless you only war once a month or something, you'll eventually get your chance when the mismatch is in your favor. Our last three wars have been like this with their top player having maxed heros and overall their bases being far superior. This latest was just the straw, that made me waste my time and effort counting hero levels as this was the easiest way to see the difference between clans.Quote:

I think Supercell should make it so premmie bases are shown as less strong so it doesn't curve matchmaking that much. Of course, that also means less bonus too.

Therein lies the differences in playing styles and skills FYI. Quite obviously your opponents play style of maxing worked for them since it psyched you out already and their skills (whether by grinding or paying) is what got them there.

I'm curious to how long your war search was?
Our clan has instituted a 5 minute cancel/restart policy for the past month+.
Since then, we've been more closely matched in CW.
Our theory is, the longer the search goes, the wider the match-up the matchmaking system will allow.
Seems to be working so far....

And pray tell what is the OP alluding to that hasn't already been discussed to death? Haven't we been through enough of these threads to know:
- That it is widespread
- The system is not perfect and cannot be perfect because the amount of variables involved in getting a "fair match up"
So use some coping mechanisms like:
- Attack it like you normally would
- Use it as a practice
- Learn from it
- Ignore it and do something else like farm/push/play hay day
and if you can't be bothered to up skill yourself on perceived harder opponents then:
- Restart war search after 5 mins
- Do your war search at a time when you aren't going to draw Asian War clans
- Get some lower TH's to lower your war average
So many of these have been suggested in the past and all the OP can do is complain... seriously. What point has the OP brought to the table that hasn't been discussed to death?
Look at real life, wars are almost never fair. Suck it up.

We have a range of TH levels in the clan. It hasnt skewed the matcaking in out favour with regard to the highest TH levels. Occasionally at the bottom we have had some fairer matches.
Looking 'deeper' and beyond the facts presented does not help your case. You have presented an arguement on a basis that may not be valid. I didnt see the comment by the OP that he hasnt been matched up with a clan that is of a lower level than himself.
Some of the comments feel quite personal - the use of 'you' leaves me with the impression that you are aiming those 'tips' at me. And im not quite sure why.
If you are referring to my comment on my current war we do have two TH10s in the opposing clan. Nobody has been matched with the TH 10's as both me and the top player are only TH9.
There is an inherent flaw in the system where you can be matched by base strength and yet nobody in my clan is recommended to attack two of their players.
And before you start with 'and if you can't be bothered to up skill yourself on perceived harder opponents'
Both me and the second person took on the TH10s and two starred them.

Yeah the match ups are ♥♥♥♥. My clan sat out 4 wars in a row because it was too mismatched.
The recommended target thing is braindead simple: assign weakest enemy player of same TH level that offers the most stars. Once that player has been starred, the next one up that hasn't been starred will be the recommended and so on... it's more complicated than that but I'm sure the details will be obvious now that you realize what the system is doing.Quote:

As far as the OP goes, I believe that although there is undeniably the occasional mismatch, overall the matchmaking does a pretty good job of finding fair and fun match-ups, at least for my clan, and my previous clan as well.
