"Loot problem" in TH10 and league bonuses.

Please don't merge this thread. I believe it to be of a different topic and my question would not get proper vision in the sticky.

A little bit of background..

I'm a mid-late TH9 player of about 5 months. I've never seen evidence of a loot problem, being able to consistently farm 1-2 mil of each per hour and have just completed my legos. Recently I've been considering making the move to TH10 but have been reluctant due to the amount of discussion I've seen re the TH10 "loot problem".

Now, a question..

Are the TH10s out there taking advantage of league bonus?

I've just finished pushing up to Masters to investigate the viability of farming league bonuses once I hit TH10. Theoretically, attacking for 50% and using quick/cheap comps such as barch would allow me to attack bases with lower resources as the league bonus would compensate.

Are people doing this? A morning spent in the 2500-2700 bracket showed plenty of loot to be had. My hope in farming and my ability to finish my lavas as a low TH10 has been completely renewed.

And not only that; having more people take advantage of league bonuses would equate to the generation of more resources and a healthier economy, further lessening the "loot problem".

Sometimes loot is good, sometimes loot is bad. It all depends on how much time from your life you are willing to sacrifice.

If you want to be taken seriously, why the ridiculous screen shot? Tell me how often you 2 star a base for 300K gold in masters using a th9 barch army.

if you've gotten there like you say you have, then you know the answer to your own question.

Actualy, I have to agree with this. You do see frequent inactives in masters, but you should show your attack log. Nt one attack, anyone can do that.

For reference I literally just nexted 80 times in crystal 1 and didn't see either a base I could one star with BARCH, nor one that offered more than 100K.

The point is you can't farm there if you can't stay there. Your last screen shot illustrates that nicely as you've dropped down to crystal and just squeaked by with another 50%.

Two 300K raids is very nice, but you have to admit it's not practical to BARCH masters repeatedly. You've certainly shown it with your screen shots.

Why are you dropping back to Gold with that kind of loot floating around? I'd be glued to my iPod with that available to me, certainly not leaving the league where the loot is

With league bonus it's 200/200, not 100/100. Did you even read my original post?

I used NOTHING but barch to hit masters. I can 100% stay there. Just not while I choose to upgrade my heroes.

The loot is too good and he wants to leave some for us. Certainly it's not because you can't farm both cups and gold in masters with BARCH.

Bottom line answer to your original question is no because your raids are not typical. You did very well, I'm impressed, but I don't believe it's representative. I don't think you belive it is either.

I feel Wendle and Gorzo aren't taking this thread seriously... Stop bashing the OP this is a question I would like answered as well as I am thinking of upgrading to th10 once defenses are maxed. If you don't have a serious answer for the thread the least you can do is show some support.

Look at the original screenshot. Also in Crystal 2 while I'm in Masters. You get matched with people well outside of your bracket.

Hearing a lot of people having success at TH10 in masters eases my fears of going into TH10.

You probably weren't around before the loot nerf. Sometimes you will find nice loot in masters. Other times you will have to just go for 50 for the bonus. Don't expect to be finding inactives every raid, which you seem to indicate in your OP. I don't think there is a massive loot problem, but I think it is ridiculous to insinuate that inactives are that frequently found.

I find a few a day, but my whole attack log isn't filled with them, as yours seems to be (according to you).

edit: think of it this way: if you were studying for a multiple choice exam that was very difficult, and some one guessed every answer and got 100% and then ran around saying that it is so easy. How would you feel?

I agree with this. The problem is evident even for me as a th9, but I try to put it out of my mind, especially when I find the odd storage raid for 350k+ of each. However, I realize it is probably harder to ignore as a th10 since farming th8s is out of the question. Probably 25% of my raids are on th8s, and call me a bully but I just know that's not gonna be an option much longer so I might as well take advantage of it.

The pictures I've posted were clearly gems. I was finding consistent 100/100 raids however, which turn into 200/200 with the league bonus - hence this post.

i was about 70 cups from masters, plus the raids you posted weren't in masters (you were in one, but not your target). I think you're starting to show your real motivation with this last comment. You weren't so much asking a question as you were trying to make a point. I still say it's too difficult to BARCH in that range and STAY in that range. You posted two 50% one star wins and dropping one league which was really my point. You say it's because you wanted to upgrade heros. I say you would have had trouble staying there regardless. Whatever ... I think we're done.

I do the same thing masters. The loot is hit and miss, but man sometimes it is great. Its pretty easy for a decent TH10 to farm there without much loss on defense.

Thought I'd chip in. I'm 5-6 weeks into TH9 and about 2-3 weeks ago I pushed to M3 to check out the updated league bonuses and try to farm there. Only my giants were lv 6 at the time, barch was still lv 5. I currently have both heroes going to lv 13 and 14, with 210 legos and 4 lavas to give you an idea of how much I farm.

In general I found it quite difficult to barch for 50% on most bases past C1, and by barch I do mean purely barch (no heroes, no reliance on spells/CC). After all, if the intention is to farm in M3 then I can't be reliant on heroes/CC/spells. So I ended up sniping most of the time to get to M3.

At M3, my experience was very similar to gorzo's. Occasionally I'd find a collector base which was usually 250-300k of each and a good amount of DE (excluding the league bonus), but most of the time I'd have to use spells/CC to get 50%. Maintaining trophies was also very tiring, and there were times when I'd spend over 200k (30-40mins searching) without finding an open TH or inactive. Therefore after spending close to a week at M3 I decided to drop back down to crystal. Now that my barch is lv 6 I might consider going back up to try again, though I still feel barching active bases without heroes (as they are on constant upgrade) is still rather risky, and you'd really have to win every time to make a decent amount of loot compared to lower leagues.

Oh and BTW, I'm from Australia.

@OP: I personally wouldn't consider it efficient farming if you had to rely on heroes (as you mentioned yourself), simply because you have 5 months of hero upgrade time at TH9 if you upgrade both at the same time. Also the main benefit of higher leagues is the increased DE available. Of course your main argument was that it could be feasible for a TH10, but I think you might be exaggerating how easy it is for a TH9 to do it, seeing as how you did seem to rely on spells/CC/heroes quite a lot which will limit your farming with a quick army like barch.

+1 to everything you said except that there's plenty of videos on YouTube of TH10s doing it purely with barch.

As a th 10 who's been farming with balloonion in master 2 for about the past 6 months, I see enough fairly easy bases that any decent th 10 barcher would have no problem picking up the league bonus 99% of the time if they're attacking solely the bases they're confident on (with minimal use of spells/heroes to boot). That said, those easy bases, for the most part, have virtually no resources, so you'd be getting perhaps 150k/150k/850 on average each attack. If that's enough for you, great, go for it.

I would like to add a caveat, however: that 99% figure is only if you're attacking the easiest bases, so add in an average of 25 nexts or so to your costs. Furthermore, it is quite difficult to stay disciplined enough to only attack the easiest bases. Using balloonion, which is generally somewhat stronger than barch depending on the base, I mostly lose attacks when I see a lot of loot that I can get, but in a base I can't get 50% on. Depending on your trophy situation (which is based quite a bit on defense too), it may be profitable to get some sizable hits without the bonus, but doing that may make maintaining your trophies quite difficult.

Balloonians is not, and has never been cost effective.

It's likely to be more cost effective to run 240 Lvl7 Archers and 5 Lightning spells as the build time is around the same if you boost the spells. Also, it cost no DE either.

All these screenshots of you barching in masters making over 200-300 loot is pointless. You are a TH9 trying to speak from a TH10 perspective. Try barch in masters as a TH10, the loot is worse than what you (a TH9) can see. Dont get me wrong, I barch in masters for the league bonus.

Also, you have used spells a few times which reduces the efficiency of barching.

To be honest there are lot of posts in this forum from TH9 players using barch telling TH10 players that loot is great. Its a joke.

You are absolutely right about this. People still are thinking loot penalty was how it was back in the day where you got some kind of bonus for attacking a th higher than yours. Its 100% false.

Im quite sure that they are not saying there is a loot bonus, just that they have not spent as much time in masters as we have and they can't really gain an accurate view if what loot is like there just based on a few raids.

Can we get people who know how to play to start commenting? All i see are the TH10 thread originators posting in here. The threads they start are the ones that read "Giff more war bonus so using max dragons can be effective instead of showing complete lack of skill" or "Supacell plz change 1st star to 10%, game too hard"

You're all likely to be the same people who see graves in a single area, deploy all your troops and wonder why they all die when 4 Teslas pop up and 2 big bombs explode.

This thread, I am sure, was less an attack on those who are struggling to cover the costs of searching as a TH10 and more an informative piece of positivity to those who may be daunted by farming in higher cup ranges.

I am appalled to see some TH10s scraping the bottom of the barrel in silver 3 simply because it's easier to get 30k for using 200 archers every 5 mins, rather than searching for a proper base to raid in Crystal or Masters.

im currently barching in master too, but without usage of any spell, simply go for 50%.

i wanted to read all of the thread. i really did but the none founded negative coments really bore me. your att log does not show how you find them. how many nexts it takes. how depleated your heroes are. i can tell you from experience as a th10 that you can maxx everything with no lazy builders by farming the league bonus.

i have said this repeatedly in many thread after i saw someone post about doing the same. i can also tell you it doesnt matter if your gold 1 or master 3. it works. i was ready for throwing in the towel. my normal raid just where not gettting me anywhere. gold was flowing but elixir was breaking even meaning no wars for me. now im barching. its all i do. i att as many times as my day allows. i am swimming in elixir and gold just keeps my builders busy. i dont have anymore elixir upgrades to do apart from troops. and 8 mill for troops in 14 days is easy. i will have maxxed defences by xmas and my troops should be done by march(only gems can do it quicker).

so all you guys wondering about th10. do it. barch your way through. i would add that you should stay away from th9 if you want an easy 50%. i find that th10 and th8 are much easier as they have more items outside of their walls.

Here's a feature Supercell need to implement: The ability to openly "Like"

Depending on my experience, TH10 will see the same loot as I see?Isn't It?

So My BK was Maxed (by That bonus)(I am not talking about the loot there) and my walls in 2 days.

I should say that Masters 3 has a TH8 every50-80 nexts, Which even a TH7 can barch....

If you find a TH9 as a TH10 and you have confidence that you CAN BARCH IT! then go on and beat the hell outta his base!

(I only used Barch lvl 4 for Masters and Not even a Single Gem as I needed a builder.

My Push ended When I was at 2878 Cuz everything was maxed And I needed to farm TH8 in Gold 2.

And about the loot every 10 nexts is a 200k TH10 in M2.

As mentionned by some, the difficulty is to be able to barch in master and stay there... 50% will give you a +8tr to +10tr, while a 49% will most probably give you a -30tr, meaning you have to make it to 50% at least 3 times out of 4 in order to maintain in masters.

I personnally find it very easy to barch in master and maitain there when having both heroes available (they make the few % I'm missing to reach 50%), but as soon as my heroes are back upgrading (meaning not very far from all the time as far as I'm concerned), I usually align 49% raids and drop back to C1 (or even C2 when a bit unlucky).

That being said, barching in master and relying on league bonus is pretty efficient in my opinion if you do manage to stay up there. Barching an 80k base means you get 180k total bonus, and you sometimes get an inactive as in any other league, which boosts your profit considerably (as inactives up there often offer 300k loot + 3600 DE).

Update the TH already!!

Don't listen to the horror stories and try to analyse things to much. I am now a near maxxed TH10 and my inferno towers did not fire in anger until they were maxed.

It is more than possible to farm in TH10 in all leagues and ive got a funny feeling TH11 may be just around the corner

not trying to turn this into a th thread but i dont think th11 is very near. as you are aware th10 has many missing upgrade. like cannons to lvl13 to match AT. xbows to lvl4. i think some troops could do with another lvl like giants, hogs, minis, witch and possibly loons. i would like to see these rolled out before a new th. they will have to create a whole new line up to release th11 and even maybe a new defence structure.

I've been masters 3 for 4 months now drop to 2501+ to stay there raid a lot of nice easy bases sometimes loot unbelievably hot sometime incredibly awful (just like every league) but loot bonus makes it well worth sticking here cant farm 1-2mil an hour but easy 4 mil each a day non boosted just logging in every hour or so to find a quick raid.

Yeah, I am starting to think all the people complaining about the loot are people who rushed their town hall. I was scared at first about th10 loot from what I saw on the forums, but that was really for nothing. I am starting to think I'll have to keep a free builder for walls again :(

No a TH 10 does NOT see the same loot as you do in Masters. There is no loot BONUS anymore but there most certainly is a loot PENALTY. So the loot you see only matches ours for th 10 for th 9 you see 10% more than us and for TH 8 you see 50% more than us. No sane Th 10 is going to spend 80k nexting to raid a Th 8 for 40k gold.

Up until about 2 weeks ago I would float in a range of 2500-2600 and I could find 400k each ghost towns all night long with 100k added on top......now? I'm lucky to find 1 a week.

the th10s who complain are rushed and try to farm below gold 3.

Yeah every time I push to masters league with balloonion I run out of elixir around 2800 trophies. It's like some natural phenomenon or something.

I am a TH10, and I have farmed in master league since my TH upgrade. I use balloons/minions and find enough loot with minimal nexts to keep my upgrades going. I have made it to Champion league and have had many attackers barch or all arch my base for 50% once I pass the 2900 trophy level. As long as you are attacking bases that you know you can beat and offer you enough elixer/de to recoup what you spend, then loot is not a problem for a TH10.

I put my TH out and usually get a quick snipe when I log off, so I make sure to raid a couple times before logging off.

The hardest part about staying in Master or higher is when you are upgrading heroes.

Honestly, it's worth it to be in masters just for the bonus. Cant argue with getting an additional 100k just for 50% or a snipe.

But like its been said before, it really depends on where the loot "is". I'm finding excellent amounts of elixir in crystal III, so that's where I am for now.

Listen to all the farming superstars on here :D Loot for Th10 has been poor however you look at it.

It has eased a little lately, but it is still hardly ideal.

League farming is indeed an okay way to farm, if it fits you well. There is more than one way to play this game, and in times of need, it helps to switch up how you play/farm/attack.

I farm league bonus with barch in 2700 range (high m3 low m2). I have been here since begining of th10 (3 months) for a reason... it's worth it. I hit inactive bases (maybe one out of 10 attacks is on an inactive) and exposed storages. You see alot of those here. 150k bases with storages on first layer of walls. Easy 50% with 200k each (including bonus)

My overnight troop is gowiwipe... and I attack the first 300k+ base I see

My 5 builders never get an hour of rest...

I don't know how loot was last year, but it seems fine right now

That's awesome. I'm glad to hear it. Actually looking forward to TH10 again.

I get as annoyed with loot is good threads as loot is bad threads. I have noticed that the mods leave loot is good threads out of the sticky bin longer, however.

YES, it's possible to farm league bonus and lots of people are happy with that. OK, great.

Since the elixir-for-walls nonsense, there has been NO solution for bad loot EXCEPT "use barch, farm league bonus, pray for inactives to charitably fill your attack log."

This is the biggest problem with loot now. Not that you can't get it... but that the only way to get it is to use the same troops you've had since TH2, and get lucky with the next button.

Is that really the way the game is supposed to be played? I just don't think it's unreasonable to ask for a bit more here when potential solutions are so blindingly obvious. The current system reflects extreme ignorance or extreme greed on the part of the developer. Not good options.
