Fishing Event!

What are the prizes (personal event goals) that you've obtained from the fishing event, and have you caught any event fish?

So far, I have gotten a green voucher for the first goal, yet haven't made it any farther due to few lures and a meager four fishing spots unlocked. Also, as far as event fish go, I've caught a bronze Giant Barb and a silver Lake Sturgeon. I almost got a third event fish, but it escaped at the last second. :p

Update 11/14: I managed to catch a Zander and another Giant Barb and also reached my second event goal, which gave me a paint bucket. :p Oh well, third time is a charm? :)

I caught a Zander.

My first personal goal was 2 saws. (Be still, my heart.)

I got two pick ax things. I don't know what you call them but they're for the mines. I only have 2 fishing spots open so I'm not expecting to get far with this one.

Two axes for the first goal������
2 panels and 2 mallets for second and third goals. We were away for the weekend so will not make the other goals.

My first goal was 2 axes n second goal was 2 gold vouchers

1st goal: 2 saws
2nd goal: 1 hand drill
3rd goal: 2 mallets
4th goal: 2 paint buckets
Final goal: 3 red bricks

UNDERWHELMING

I've always thought that everyone gets the same personal goal prizes from events!

First goal: 2 pick axes ( tq - i need them as i had no more mining tools)

2x dynamites

2 x TNT
1 x Hammer
2 x Land Deeds
2 x Bolts

Rewards for me :-
Step #1 - 2x Saws
Step #2 - 1x Gold Voucher
Step #3 - 2x Purple Voucher
Step #4 - 2x Planks (my most common BEM).
Step #5 - 3x Tar buckets.

I'm also completely underwhelmed, especially after step 3.

Wow, what luck! I've never heard of that happening! You must be good on hand drills for a while. :rolleyes:

I have a lot of lures so I'm trying to get all the prizes in this one! I usually don't do that well in the fishing events..

The prizes have not been that great though, but ok. So far 2xdynamite (this is good, never have enough), 1xpurple voucher (this is ok, but it's a bit funny because the fishing event itself uses up so many vouchers) and 2xmaps (not good, because I don't need them anymore).

Thus far I've received:

2 TNT
2 screws
2 red brick bricks
2 duct tapes

I've caught a few new-to-me fish (Carp, Rainbowfish), as well as some hefty Zanders and other unusual (in my limited experience) fish.

2 pick axes so far. Will be able to play more this weekend! ;)

Hehehehe that was cool!!!

I managed to get my third prize, which happened to be two land deeds. :)

It's quite interesting to hear everybody's prizes, as I originally thought that the prizes would be similar universally.

Wait a second... The only way to achieve the prizes is to either use diamonds or tickets and the prizes all can be had in other cheaper ways. I am beginning to think the fishing event is a waste..

You can use the Free red lures but the weight needed for YOU to reach the personal goal will take a little bit since the WEIGHT of the fish YOU will be catching is low. The tickets (vouchers) are so that you catch the "event fish" that weigh at least three times the weight of the fish that you will catch with the free red lures. So with a lot of patience you can still get the global prizes and still be able to get the global award once we all fish so much that we get it.

we look pretty close to being on target to reach it :o

This. I have just reached my fourth personal goal all by using red lures. Didn't speed up the cool down times too, so it's really possible to attain all goals without spending diamonds or vouchers.

My prizes are: 2 saws, 1 purple voucher, 2 golden vouchers, 2 bolts. All are welcome additions. :)

2 rolls of duct tape after catching 190 ks of fish ? ! Not worth it :mad: Please make the prizes better.

The fish in this picture, on the right, the Red-Tailed Catfish is caught ONLY in Area 9, for FREE!!! with the free red lures.
Area 9 is on the farthest right at the bottom of the fishing areas, has some of those swampy type plants in & around it, here's a tip for you bouges,and everyone else that's reading this, you must be patient to catch this one. As you cast out and you only get the BIG circle you see as you're fishing just break the line ( raise your finger ) and simply re-cast again. For this fella it will take at least 15.....YES 15, re-casts to get that tiny inner circle and if it's been those 15 attempts, try to catch this one! I should have previously asked if you have expanded enough fishing areas and have area 9 open, well, at this swampy location is where you will catch BIG, heavy Red-Tailed Catfish for free and get the global prizes faster than you just catching the others that are caught with the free red lures.

Well, good luck, I just wanted to give all the information about getting a Event Fish that is free and caught by those of us who have time to wait through 15 casts of the fishing line( consecutive!)in order to possibly get Mr Red Tailed Catfish

Items which you can't buy which are rare - eg orange vouchers

Sometimes you get vouchers or diamonds as prizes, which seem to be the generally preferred items.

Me, I want planks. And I think you should get more than 2 or 3 for the last prize.

I got 3 marker stakes for my final prize. I don't need LEMs or coins any more, so that was rather underwhelming.

It seems like before, the last prize was usually 5 of something. I think the prizes should increase in value as you meet more and more goals.

Wow. I have never been able to reach the fifth goal using only red lures. Even with the catfish.

The problem I run into is I can't make red lures fast enough. Do you make a big stockpile before the fishing event, or do you have a lot of slots in your luremaker?

I am baffled as well. Last fishing event, I used almost all red lures and couldn't even get to my fourth goal. However, I didn't play very regularly and only had three fishing spots unlocked. I am assuming reaching your fifth goal with only red lures can be done, as long as you play regularly, have a large tackle box, constantly catch catfish, and stockpile red lures days, possibly weeks in advance.

You can't constantly catch catfish. They are only available in one fishing area, and it has a fairly long refresh time.

If you don't have a big tacklebox, I suppose it might work if you "stack" worm lures outside the luremaker. I need fish filets too much to do that, though. :)

i would be a happy camper with this reward :) I got Saws, mallets, paint buckets red bricks and something else underwhelming

We are too cheap to use colored lures except during the fishing event. BUT we do use green blue and pink lure during the event, but ONLY to catch the event fish.

We only accept event fish with the colored lures, and we have a nice stock of red lures to use with the colored lures to pile up the poundage.

We look for that small circle and slow ring, and discard fish that are not the event fish, unless we decide we just want to fish and be done. BUT beware the Rudd and the coho salmon -- they can fake you out!!

We end each event with 10 green lures 5 blue lures and 2 pink lures, which we will use for the next fishing event in a few weeks.

Between events, we only use red lures and nets to catch fish.

We are WAYYY TOO CHEAP to spend gold vouchers on lures.

You can catch all the special event fish using only blue and green lures. No need at all to use gold or purple vouchers.

I tried 3 green and 2 blue lures during the event and didn't catch anything I didn't already have. :(

We usually use the pink lure to catch the giant barb -- we seem to have better luck getting her to bite on that one, but you ar right she will bite on the blue one too

You have to watch the circle size and movement.

The special event fish have an inner circle size that is just bigger than the smallest circle. (The fish barely fits in the smallest circle. The event fish have a circle slightly larger than that.)

Perhaps a better sign is the outer circle contracts very slowly compared to other fish. If you see that, it's an event fish.

Otherwise, let it go. You won't lose your lure.

Used almost all red lures. Only used about 8-10 blue/green lures. I had them stacked on the machine😃
