Should I upgrade to th9?

So here's what going on, I'm a level 83 town hall 8. All my elixir buildings are maxed (barracks, camps, etc). Only need to max mortars and cannons which I will complete before moving up. My main question is should I max everything in my lab? (See picture below). Level 4 hogs are currently upgrading and was planning on doing balloons after. My building upgrades will take me another 2-3 weeks to complete but the lab will take about 10 weeks. Should I wait to upgrade or start once my defenses are done? I don't like the idea of having idle builders for months. Thanks for any input you have for me.

If you want. It isn't necessary although loonian is a popular strat at th 9. Level 6 balloons and lvl 4 minions are pretty good at th 9. Golems you can do at 9 and valks and healer are useless.

i also ask this one around a month ago..
now i experience it. it is advisable to go up once your builder becomes idle. since you might end up getting bummed since there is nothing to build.

also additional questions would be.
are your bk max and skull walls already?

BK is maxed, yes. And sorry forgot to mention walls. I have about 30 or so still on level 7, rest are on level 8. So I'm almost done with that

the best suggestion is wait until one of your builder becomes idle. then that would be the time to upgrade your th9. though i myself decided to go up. after i finished max the main defenses (tesla, mortar, wiz, ad) and the cannons, archer tower sitting at level 9.
since i believe you are a good farmer. you can already go up once builders become idle.
better prepare around 63k de. so you can already upgrade aq to level 2

Cool I think I will do that then. Having idle builders doing nothing will likely drive me crazy. And I'll be sure to have sufficient dark elixir

I would max your troops, walls, and defenses.. thats just my take on it.

I also had lab upgrades left over before going th9. What I did was keep the lab finishing th8 troops while you're working on new th9 buildings and having fun farming with the archer queen :cool:. This way you can keep your builders busy while your lab is working.

Sure everything gets stronger at th9 but level 5 troops are the best bang for your buck in the game when you compare training cost and hp/dps gained I'm still using them at th9 and having no trouble keeping my builders busy.
