Leader should be able to pick war-goers

I am getting incredibly tired of kicking my friends and family out of my clan and inviting them back on a weekly basis because either they don't want to be in the war or I don't want them in the war. Would it be difficult to put a check box near each account for a simple yes I want them in or no I don't want them in. It would be no different than kicking out the unwanted just less hassle and hurt feelings.

Each person could possibly have control of their own checkbox also. Just in case they found out they were not going to be available at the last minute and could exclude themselves from the war without having to contact the leader or leave the clan.

Yeah an opt out option is in high demand right now. Let keep our finger crossed and hope they add it!

It would be good but i think many leaders would choose the strongers players without giving a chance to weakers, so many of them might leave the clan.

This is essentially an opt-out button, and I agree it's needed! Would be an awesome feature.

We've talked A LOT about adding an opt-out feature in Clan Wars and it's not currently in the cards. At this point, we just haven't found the right solution that fits Clash how it should.

We always try to avoid unnecessary complexity in our feature design and strive for features that work consistently and simply for all players. Some players would be thrilled with an opt-out system, but others would prefer things like opt-in, leader-chooses, variable team sizes, or other solutions. Also, letting players pick-and-choose what components of their clan experience they participate in is not a design philosophy we support. When you're in a clan, you should all be in it together! Even further, implementing a system that can enable undue pressure on players ("Opt out or we'll kick you" or "Give me Crab Claws or you can't come to war with us") falls far short of this mark.

That being said, we're in favor of adding more control and meaningful direction to Clan Wars. When we look into the next batch of Clan Wars features, that will be the time to reconsider things like opt-out systems, and possibly come up with better solutions that encourage everyone in their Clan to stick together and participate no matter what. We'll see what happens!

We'll keep tabs on any feedback and ideas you guys come up with for future Clan Wars improvements. Keep the feedback coming.

Yeah I think an opt out option would be better. If the leader really can't take how bad one person is, he/she can always kick them. But if that person likes the clan and the leader likes that person, this is where the opt out option is nice.

If the leader doesn't want them in then they are going to get kicked out anyway in most cases. Am I wrong?

If the leader doesn't want them out of the clan but not in the war and the person doesn't want to leave even if they aren't getting in the wars then why should they have to be kicked out? my lil bro is a th 3 I don't want him in the war I don't want him kicked out and he doesn't want to leave because of that so the best option would be an option to exclude him.

Well what i mean is that for exemple, 2 guys are lvl 90. one of them has all lvl 5 troops exept archers. The other one has all lvl 5 troops. Just for that, leader is going to chose the secong guy.

That sounds way better than leave the clan or we will kick you which is the current norm...I f the leader picks there would be no confrontation at all.

Agreed, Its on SC's honey-do list, but its not top priority atm

leader picks and opt out is very different, with opt out if the member that wasn't wanted didn't opt out they would have to be kicked, with leader chooses there would be no reason to ever kick a person out for warring reasons.

It really needs to be both, leader picks with each individual having the option to opt out

Well leader-choice might lead to bullying. Ie) if a leader doesn't like a certain player they can withhold his warring status for x-wars. Opt-out makes it fair for everyone to have a chance to war while still removing those who dont want to

I'm pretty sure if the leader didn't like someone they would just kick them out regardless, why would you have someone you disliked in your clan? that doesn't really add up when the leader can already just kick them out and invite them back if they don't want them in the war.

I mean really it already is leader picks but you have to make 4 left turns to get there

SOmetimes, i have seen people keep strong players that are complete douches just to keep a strong player.

Also, another point, if a leader chose say the top 10 warmongers out of a clan of 50, 40 people are left in the dust while the top 10 reap the benefits of taking on smaller clans petentially

Have you been in many clan wars? you get a somewhat equal opponent no matter what. Having 10 high level people is not a benefit. It just means your going to go up against 10 high level people.

Agreed. If a member is busy and can't be active I hate to have them booted. Especially if they are trusted and are productive not only with donating and advising, but are good attackers in war.

Yes, I have been in many clan wars, in one now actually.
Sometimes new clans will take themselves to war with 10-14 members, thus letting them in the 10 member bracket. Sometime they are core players from Old clans, sometimes they are fresh Th7s that are war hungry. Either way, with 10 members only,it can go either way on the spectrum

That's not really how the matchmaking works. Obviously you're the one that hasn't been in many clan wars.
