I have been using this base for a few weeks now and it's done extremely well so far. Very few people attack more then the town hall and no one has gotten 3 stars on it yet. While it may be easy for wall breakers to reach the middle, its not easy for troops to get out. Storages are spread out and have mortar and wizard tower cover. Let me know what I could do to improve it. Thanks!Attachment 75683
Pros:
- Basics
Cons:
- Town hall not completely exposed makes it slightly less likely to be sniped, especially with so many defenses near it
- One x-bow not centralized
- Ranged troops will love the funnel if they have tanks to cover them
It needs some work, but it's not too bad. I really don't like the storages being exposed through the funnel, but I'd probably start by swapping the outside x-bow for the barbarian king (possibly finding a better place to put him), then I'd move the town hall farther out.
Thanks for the input Kyro! I really should make my town hall a little more vulnerable. And great idea to move that xbow, I hate having to reload that thing all the time. I think I'll move those skeleton traps too. I'm usually not a fan of the funnel either, but i've found that it has worked well in separating tanks from the rest of the troops. What kind of base do you have? Thanks again Kyro!

As for your own base, it is looking solid! I would like to see that xbow centered, which I saw was mentioned above. I like the spiral design, and it seems it would be efficient in taking out decent numbers of troops. Not much besides that, nice work :)
Thanks for the feed back devildog! Much appreciated. The spiral does do really well, it funnels tank troops to the center leaving high dps troops exposed. I haven't figured out what to put in place of that xbow near the town hall. I hesitate to place my barb king there cause then he dies easy after a th snipe and breaks the funnel to the center. Maybe i'll place him at the top and move that cannon down by the th. Thanks again for the input! Also check out my war base:

Cons have pretty much been covered but looks like your working on what you can without trying to disturb the actual design which is good. Looks like you have fully put some time and effort in to cover every part of the Base.Quote:

Thanks for checkin my base out Rone, and I'm glad you noticed how much thought went into it. Honestly, I'm in Gold 1 right now and I just get TH sniped all the time. The few real attacks I've had have been from the northwest where I'm usually upgrading stuff but no one has 3 starred me yet. I suppose the best way to test it out would be to get those trophies up.
It's always a good sign that you're only getting sniped, it's either down to the fact you haven't got much loot available OR its intimidating them into not attacking since they know it's covered by all angles.Quote:

I tend to get sniped quite a lot regardless how much loot is on show, but I have noticed soon as I have more than 1k dark Elixer available to them... That's when the Archer Queen decides to make an appearance.
I just hogged a base that looks similar to this. I would suggest leaving some double GB spaces to atleast discourage hoggers. Other than that it looks like a well thought out design.
