Dark Spell Idea: Chrono Spell

First, If you voted that this is a terrible idea could you please tell me why in the comments? Feel Free to comment any changes you think would improve the spell! I'd love to hear either some criticism or some support! Make sure to comment your thoughts!

The wizards have really outdone themselves this time! Your army now has control over chronology itself!

Unlocked at spell factory level: 6 Town hall 10
Cost to upgrade factory: 4,000,000 Elixir
Spell capacity doesn't increase.
Max level: 3
Cost to upgrade spell:
Level 1: N/A
Level 2: 90,000 Dark Elixir
Level 3: 180,000 Dark Elixir
Spell cost: 800 Dark Elixir (+200 per level)
Spell Duration: 10 seconds (+10 per level)
Spell Effect: This powerful spell allows you to turn back time. Placing this spell causes time during a raid to be reversed for a short duration causing anything that happened during that time to be undone.

Usefulness: This spell rewinds everything that happened in the battle over the past 10-30 seconds depending on the level of the spell including the time you have left. If you mess up in a raid this spell would allow you to undo that mistake as long as you place it less than the allotted time after the mistake was made. Any troops or spells (not including the chrono spell you just used) that were placed during the rewind period are returned to you.
NOTE: This spell does not actually add any time to the raid timer it simply rewinds a portion of the raid to give you another chance.
Physical appearance: this spell would cause the battle to rewind at a speed of 4 seconds per second (4x) the battle graphics would gain a "bloom effect" for the duration which would dissipate once the battle starts back up.

1. 800 DE is a bit too much imo
around 300 is okay
2. So let's say you put that spell. Is it like a switch that effects the whole map and makes your troops come back alive and go back or something ooor a certain area, that looks like heal/rage/jump spell circles? explain more.

It would be throughout the whole map, you place it and the entire battle rewinds for however long the spell says, I'll edit the main post so it explains it better.

i think the 800 dark elixir is a good amount. just think, this is an incredibly overpowered spell, this could essentially guarantee that your clan wins a war, or that you win a raid.

i do have a question though. so lets say its just a level one spell and your 11 seconds into a battle, then you use it to reverse 10 seconds of it. doe that mean that all of your troops that you deployed in that time would, i guess you could say, un-deploy, meaning would they all come back?

Yes any troops you deployed during the time that is re-winded would be returned to your bar as well as any spells but not the Chrono Spell you just used (for obvious reasons)

Sounds interesting! Also it might be op since high level players would use to say...reclaim a golem that they misplaced or a trap that was cleverly placed rewind so that the troops do not go over the trap. A question i have is, would, after the spell is placed and its done rewinding, then does the trap rearm itself or is it still activated?:cool::confused:

I have to agree here. I know there are a lot of bases that place traps in very clever locations, and they're hidden for a reason; That and not every raid is meant to be perfect, and there area always mistakes with a base, and people should learn to play the game to avoid these clever base designs. Over all, I'm thinking this is a great spell idea, but it's just too OP'ed. :(

I don't think it would be too op, it does have a low rewind time and it also takes up a place in the spell factory you could use another spell in but to answer your question: Yes any traps that were set off will be re-armed and any damage done to buildings will be undone, if will literally revert all aspects of the battle to how they were 10-30 seconds before you placed the spell. So if you destroy a few buildings using the spell will make them come back at whatever health they previously had. But if a player wants to place troops differently they have to use the spell within 10-30 seconds of placing them.

Hmm, I'm not sure why you think it's OP, it does take up a space you could be using for another spell after all, and in some raids having a different spell than this would be much more beneficial. you have to remember that this spell only reverses time for 1/6 of the raid, and since most traps are set off more than 30 seconds after you place troops anyway this spell wouldn't be useful in those situations, if you've already placed all your troops more than 30 seconds ago then this spell can't do anything to help. It would just rewind the troops and they'd walk over all the same traps again. While it has definite advantages over other spells in some situations it is not by any means an all purpose spell like the rage or the freeze. It only helps in certain situations.

Traps would not become useless because eventually troops will still have to go over them at some point, unless you managed to work the AI so perfectly that it triggers no traps whatsoever:rolleyes:
Also, the link to the R/O section does not say anything about time reversal, you only listed what was frequently suggested, gotta scroll down all the way to find the real R/O list

First of all:I have read the sticky several times and i can assure you that's not the ruled out list. In fact, that's part of the "frequently suggested ideas" list. The ruled out list is actually found near the bottom of the sticky not the top.
Second: I hate to ask but did you even read my whole post? Cause I have a note in bold colorful text that says NOTE: This spell does not actually add any time to the raid timer it simply rewinds a portion of the raid to give you another chance.It's kinda hard to miss dude...
Thirdly: if you have all your traps on one side of your base so that "attacking the other side" would be a valid option then you're doing it wrong anyway :/ this spell would be better used to attack the same side twice since now you know how to deal with that side better.

Hey dude, I think you're missing the problem, what I'm trying to tell you is that the things you posted aren't from the "ruled out" section of the sticky, they're from the "frequently requested" section. To get to the list of actually ruled out ideas you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the sticky. Anything above the Currently Ruled Out: are fair game.

This would be awesome but I think there should be a max of one chronology spell but still it would be awesome

does this change AI?
Is this fair, it gives players whole new chances
Stacking?
If you use one, then use another, do you get the original back.

Sweet questions.
1: AI would not change at all. However if you place troops you got back in different places they would of course take different paths than the first time you placed them.

2: I think it's just as fair as any other spell out there. it does give you another chance but that's basically all it does, it just resets the battle to how it was a little while ago. The only advantage it gives is one of strategy, which is also why it only lasts 30 seconds max, any more probably would start being unfair, but 30 should be fine. especially when you take into account that it is taking up space you could be using for a different spell (the spell capacity doesn't increase after all).

3: No, they don't stack, once you use one it is gone for good, using another can not bring it back.

This is a great idea sometimes ill hit like a base on the side with my golem and it will mess up the battle completely i either waste 15 seconds or loose a golem love the spell idea

Nice idea man! I think this idea involves strategy, which is what we need. The only thing about it that I think needs to be changed is the town hall level it's unlocked at. I really don't think any strong TH 10's are going to use a spell space for this spell. Especially since it might not even be needed.

Hmm, I dunno, as someone who pushes every once in a while there are many times I have wished for a do-over on a certain part of a raid whether it's bad placement, or an unexpected group of traps or teslas. It could certainly save some raids haha. although the main reason it's unlocked at th10 is that th9 already gets a jump spell.

Glad you like the strategic aspect of it though! That's exactly what I was going for :D
