lvl 6 Giants or lvl 1 Golems

This might be a mistake on my part, as I have no practice with GoWiPe or GoWiWi. I really need feedback or suggestions on which attack strategy has best chance of success against TH-9's. (I am a TH-9 as well)

I have:
- lvl 3 PEKKAs
- lvl 1 Witches
- lvl 5 Wizards
- lvl 1 Golems
- lvl 6 Giants

Here are my concerns or questions:

1. Which attack strategy is more successful: GoWiPe vs GoWiWi ? (take into consideration my Troop levels - see above)

2. Since my Golems are lvl 1, should I use lvl 6 Giants instead ? (2 Golems or 12 Giants)

I would use giants until you level up your golems more. 6 level 6 giants have way more hitpoints than a level 1 golem. Only drawback with giants is their vulnerability to spring traps but I believe the difference in hitpoints would outweigh that in this situation.

Edit: p.s. Gowipe or gowiwi really depend on what the base you going up against is like. I generally prefer gowipe but some bases gowiwi works better.

2 Golems..No giants, maybe some archers to take out CC troops, 2 or 3 pekka.s The Rest wizards. This is for a clan war attack..Raids use Giants no golems

I would generaly Gowipe against a fellow th9... I only realy use witches in my troop comp if I have to go against a TH10 with single mode inferno's --- they melt those dumb pekkas like butter, wheras the skellies seem to confuse them ........ multi mode inferno, ok for pekka.....


Not sure about using level 1 golem though, as I've been gowiping with lvl2 golem and level3 pekka since th8...... maybe, as others have suggested, try giants first........

I'm not sure if using giants is wise. The wizard towers and other splash will destroy the raid quickly.

The Giants don't stand a chance against infernos. I would use GoWiPe, even with level1 Golems you can do some damage. Cheers

Against th9 you could use quite a bit with success. I personally like giants valks and wiz as my confident 2 star strategy until my golems get up there. If youre going for a 3 star, youll need the golems and awesome heroes do help haha.

OP asked the question about which strat was better against other TH9s not TH10s. Both lvl6 giants and lvl1 golems would be useless against infernos. In fact lvl1 golems are pretty useless full stop past TH8s and premmie TH9s. 6 level 6 giants have way more hitpoints and dps than a lvl 1 golem. Giants FTW!!! (Until you get at least lvl3 golems then they are better).

As someone pointed out, splash will ruin it. A wiztower will essentially deal out 6x the damage against a group of 6 giants vs 1 golem.

I have the same level of troops as you and I have more success with 2 golem in attacks than giants. You simply lose too many giants to traps IMO and it can totally ruin the entire attack.

Unless you can't live without the 43 DPS from each giant, a golem has the advantage of having more HP, being immune to springs, and dying less often so defenses don't switch onto your wizards.

until golem are higher, i'd go for giants first...

but get those golem up asap

Gowipe is a killer in clan war, i'm using gowipe since th8 and still haven't been able to upgrade golem again, but they will be my next target as a research

Depending on raiding or war. Raiding I'd say giants usually.... War probably golems but only at level 3. At level 1 you need to go giants with a wiz/witch combo. I tend to find that witch have a ton of power if they avoid mortars. They can destroy bases TH10-9. Giants tend to protect them well. I war a lot and use both golems and giants. Really for me depends on if I want to go heavy on witch/wiz I usually will go giants. For the most part there both strong for 2 stars I just like giants more higher DPS if you combine the group compared to golems.

Max Valks are far better than lvl 3 Pekka. I'd consider upgrading those Valks after you do Golems.

I use Giants quite often when I attack TH10s. 1 Golem in CC, 8 Giants, 8 Valks under rage= core murdered.


Anyway, if you're going to use Giants you must heal them.

Gowiwipe is pretty solid. That is what I roll with. Basically makes it where a giant bomb cant ruined your attack.
