The response to my support ticket:

Not sure what reply you are expecting from SC other than an acknowledgement of the issues.. This glitch happens fairly common and I believe most people or their clan mates have experienced it. SC obviously is aware of the issue but whether they are going to fix the glitch will be a topic on its own... just look at the time bug...

I'm not trying to be offensive to the OP but maybe the reason Supercell has trouble responding to real problems like a lost account is because they have to sift through support ticket "problems" of someone losing a few troops?

I was hoping for an acknowledgement. But I guess that is too much to ask for. I know that they are keeping the time bug going because it will take too long to fix, but I haven't heard anything in regard to this glitch.

Well in theory no one should have a lost account because you are periodically told to link it to game centre and whatever android has. So I guess Supercell Support has to play mummy and daddy for these people that chose to lose their account. Which means they have less time to tend to real problems such as glitches and exploits etc.

I believe that glitches should be reported. But maybe that is just me?

Hardly broken, sure its happened to me about 5 times since i started, but I've never got upset about it, just did that raid without my cc and waited to req again. Maybe it hasn't been fixed yet because people havent been reporting it because they didnt want to make a meal out of nothing

I edited the link as I thought it may show personal information, or someone may get to use it.

I simply brought the situation to their attention and asked for a refund of the gems that I used.

The clan war was about to end and I could only get on at that time to do my last attack. Is it better to not use a clan Castle in clan wars?
