Barch or Arch? (Level Dependant?)

Hey guys,

I've just finished research on Archers Level 5 and they are incredible! My usual attack strategy is Barch (1 Barrack on Barbs, 3 on Arch) is what I like to use.

I'm currently upgrading Barbs to Level 5, and will take another 5 days. So I'm wondering would it be better to use 200 Level 5 Archers (Im town hall 8) till the Barb level 5 upgrade is done or stick with Barb/Archers.

Edited: Another quick question, When both barb and arch are at level 5. Does having 1:3 (Barb:Arch) in Barracks work better or 2:2 (Barbs:Arch).

I'd barch. Against most bases, barching will do better than all archers, even if they're lvl 4 while your archers are lvl 5. Main reason is they allow you to tank splash defenses (or teslas if you're TH sniping against a dang trapper :rolleyes:), whereas archers will get OHKO'd. So my suggestion would be to stick to barching.

Include a few barbs to tank at the front. Use mostly archers.

May I ask what is the purpose of keeping 1 barrack making only barbs and the rest archers? Is that better than 25 barbs and arch in each barrack?

Sure, ill drop a list of reasons why I prefer 1:3, or have stuck with it since Town Hall 7.

1. I queue barb and archers in separate barracks, which makes it easier to manage.
2. More archers means I can snipe more mines/collectors/drills that are behind walls. I find that the amount of barbs made in the 1 barrack is more than enough to clear the buildings that aren't inside walls for most bases.
3. If I haven't donated I get 56 Barbs, 144 Archer, when I do donate it'll be with archers, so that will increase the amount of barbs every time I donate. It wont increase it by much but will put it a little over the 1:3 ratio.

Hope that answers your question. Its really just personal preference, I know some people who like to go 2:2 with BARCH, some just go with 200 Archers. I personally prefer 1:3. It works for me
