What does that have to do with anything I said?

The updates are only focused on finding creative ways to gouge people because thats what the developers are instructed to focus on. They could start by acknowledging player concerns when things are seriously flawed or "broken" in the game, and come out and verbally commit to fixing the problems. Secondly, they could have an update or two specifically to improve or fix what is currently in the game without adding blatant "gem content".
Example:
People have complained about the splash bug that was causing xbows to make mortars and wiz towers malfunction since the game started. Rauta acknowledge the problem in a forum post in November, and said "we are aware of the problem but I can give you no timeframe for a fix". That fix came 5 months later, well after DE, heroes, dark barracks, leagues, etc were all developed.
No one cares about the people who gemmed to th9 early on to get the xbow, only to find that they couldn't use it effectively due to an obvious bug that should've been fixed immediately. These people paid for something that was advertised as a finished product, yet they found out eventually was actually broken. SC made no attempt whatsoever to fix this in a timely manner even though some portion of their income was from this customer who paid for a broken feature, in essence.
That's just one specific example, but there is just absolutely no excuse for letting so many problems go unaddressed for so long. The big reason I think people are so upset with the league system (other than the bonus being worthless) is that there is such an unknown status from SC on when/if it will actually be adjusted. They've already acknowledge they can "hotfix" things like the loot bonus if they want to, yet they haven't. So, who's to say they are waiting for the next update to make such a change?
They are the ones that came out and said that the last update would give trophies meaning. This has been begged for forever, and they finally said okay we hear you. Not only did they not hear us, but it could be anywhere from 1 day to 6 months before anything else is done about it, and during that time we are just supposed to "play on" and wait? And what if the "fix of the fix" that we wait patiently for is equally worthless?
Their underlying problem is they are completely out of touch with what the players want, and they just don't care. If they did, this would show in their priorities for each update and also in their feedback and communication with players (which is basically non existant).
Sorry to rant, but it really pisses me off. I think the other guy that replied to me had it right... They have such a large player base because of no real competition from any similar strategy games on their platforms that they really don't care what real "gamers" think, and for a gaming company that Is just insane to me :(
Where did I misquote you? You said:
My response, "You may think that, but Supercell doesn't. They have made it clear they want people going after trophies." was based on Marika's quote where she says "The core of this game is about mastering multiplayer matches (measured by trophies)" So... What part don't you understand? You read what she said as them having no favored group?
Look, the original intent of my post was to address an earlier posters comments on SC's customer base, NOT the favored trophy hunting group. If your going to choose a sentence from a post and comment on it, make your comments relevant to that original post. I never made reference to SC's stance on this being a trophy driven game, nor do I disagree with said stance. It's their business and they may practice their business model how they see fit. Further more, in regards to my original post, I never stated that I had an opinion on either side, I merely stated that "I would hope that", implying that they may or may not do the right thing.
I did and they were. I chose that sentence to respond to because I don't understand anything else you said in that post. My responses were on topic and trying to further a discussion. Things got derailed when you chose not even a sentence but 2 words from a post and commented with "LoL, wow, just nevermind"
This thread got so long n idk y 2... Pls continue to make e game tough, interesting n challenging, looking forward to enjoy it wif my kids when they grow up... N Since u r oredi making millions revenue, I shall not teach u how to do biz... Ty SC. ;);)
So everyone who plays the game isn't a customer? When you go to buy grocery, should they care about the "big spenders" and ignore the other customers? Cashier lane only for big spenders? and everyone should just leave because they're not worth it? lol Ofcourse business will cater to high spender but if you ignore all your other customers and customer satisfaction, it's not a good business model. That's not just how I feel...shouldn't every customer "assume" the business they use care about customer satisfaction?
