Where to farm at TH8?

Hello fellow clasher's!
I'm fairly new to the forums (read some threads here and there) and decided to make myself an account on here.
First of all: English is not my native language so please excuse any wrong grammar or spelling mistakes. Thank you in advance.

And now the real purpose of this Thread lol.
I just recently upgraded my TH to level 8 (i have 3 Builders if this is any important.) and i'm at 1490 trophies atm. But i can't seem to find any good loot. Most of the bases have around 50k Gold and Elixir. And maybe 100 DE.
Which is, imo, not enough. So now i thought it could be the fact that i'm either to high or to low with my trophies.
Is there a trophy range, where is a lot of loot, which i can get with my level 4 BARCH Army? I also use Lightning Spells (which are probably pretty common for the BARCH tactic (?) ) to get the 50% most of the time.
If there is anything else i've missed that is important for you to know, please let me know!

Hi Linus! Welcome to TH8. I'm a fellow TH8'er myself so I speak from experience as a current TH8.

I tend to generally find bases to raid for 100K+ gold and/or elixir in silver 1 and gold 3 with minimal searching/nexting. Sometimes I do have to next maybe 50 times but it's pretty rare and I hardly notice and still feel that I find great bases that I'm happy to raid pretty quick for the most part. Trophy range from maybe 1100 - 1350 for easy/quick gold/elixir.

If farming for DE, I'd recommend pushing up to 2000 trophies (crystal 3) and hunt for DE up there. This is primarily because the loot bonus for getting 1 or more stars includes 100 DE, on top of whatever you may be able to raid and more people up at that higher range tend to have more DE available to pillage.

I did notice that up in crystal 3, generally the bases are better upgraded (of course) so raiding bases with cheap armies like barch can be more challenging and/or less rewarding as walls and defenses are often stronger (even though I know usually barch is for taking out collectors and exterior stuff and perhaps storages just beyond the first layer of walls). Since I've been raiding primarily to upgrade my walls and defenses and mostly non-de related things, I've been down in silver1/gold 3 raking in gold and elixir like there's no tomorrow. I'll push back up to crystal 3 or beyond before long to continue working on my DE troop upgrades, finish getting my King to level 10 and save up 40K DE for my archer queen right when I finish upgrading my TH to 9.

Anywhere from Silver1 to gold1 should be fine.

I just maxed TH 8 and I stayed at Gold 1-2 around 1500-1800. I used barch and found lots of collector raids.

Not in Crystal, I don't want to waste 1,000 per next fee on TH8s protected by loot penalties. :p

Agreed. C3 is great for DE but collector raids aren't as plentiful.

Thank you! It helped a lot. Just got down to ~ 1300 Trophies and i already saw bases with 150k Gold and 100k Elixir. Will probably just work on walls + Troops for now :)
