I let them snipe unless they have great loot or go for my loot.
I'm chill with it. Most of the time it's a TH8 or lower anyway which isn't worth even considering due to loot penalties.
Anyone who has tried to revenge, knows that most of the time you find people who are online, on a shield, or have no loot. So for a farmer revenge does little good. I will try to get revenge in a few of case.
1. They lightning bolted my dark elixir.
2. They went for more than just my townhall. Lots like to pick around the base.
3. They go for my loot and fail to get to 40% or snipe my townhall
A true farmer should never revenge for TH sniping. You want your TH to be destroyed and the world would be a better place if everyone had farming bases.

If they just snipe me I thank them for helping me protect my loot. Even if they go after my loot or lightning my de I find it useless to waste my time trying to revenge them. People always have a shield or are online and I have no patience to continually hit the revenge button to try to get their loot.

I try ans smash anyone that has good loot to steal, doesn't matter what TH they are or if it's a snipe revenge. Gold, Elixir or even zapping their DE, I'm ALL IN on raiding someones village to make mine better. :D
