I don't think it's that high. If you cut it you will still get clans that won't fight you because they are unwilling to spend elixir/dark elixir on a war they see as being unfairly matched.
My suggestion to you is to use your 2nd attack in the same way if this is what the other clan picks to do. I have only come across it once, and yes it was no fun, but that is no need to punish the clans that lose legitimately.
As I said in the original post - the increase is nice and more loot is always great. My question is has the increase made the loser loot so attractive that it has increased the number of clans and players willing to accept losing with zero effort? I believe it has - these losing war clans seem far more prevalent than ever before.
This is one of those debates where both sides have a valid argument. There are pluses and minuses to both high or low loser bonus.
Too high and you get these clans with no intention of fighting, they just snipe a little for loser bonus. Its boring and I hate that.
But if its too low that can actually increase the number of 'roll over and die' type opponents. It was raised in this discussion the valid point that to invest your heart and soul into a tough well fought (interesting and exciting!!) war where in the end you lose by only a star or two is tough on the wallet. There are guys that would become less willing to risk it if its too costly to not win. More guys would look at their opponent and only risk the investment for the easy win.
So even as I run a clan that will immediately kick anyone that does not fight full force for any reason (this includes because winning looks hopeless), I see the argument the other way and begrudgingly admit it is valid however much I don't like it.
You get a wimpy opponent all you can do is make sure you do get maximum profit off them then hope for better next time.
This is what I am seeing mostly from past 3 clans we warred against. I hope they only get the loot from storages only when they actually starred the base too (like how war win/lose loot works), to prevent peepz from slacking and do a real attack. Putting storages inside won't be a solution as we use storages as a meat shield.Quote:
Others will pick away at dark storage tanks or other exposed storages, for the little bit of loot on the map.
I hope we get a decent opponent on the next war.
I suspect you've got the causation backwards. The problem is that a real attack is so expensive. If a clan feels outmatched, rightly or wrongly, they may decide to sit it out. Then, might as well snipe for a little extra resources without breaking shield.... but loser loot is still worse than you'd get with a decent raid. I don't see a solution.
Did you read my post? These clans are not outmatched, they didn't accidentally hit the war button, they didn't have internal issues prohibiting them from warring. They are deliberately losing, zero effort, war clan castles not filled. They are looking to lose and gain the loot from it.
