Who uses healer/giant/goblin(/archer)at all? And with great succes.
Just wondering if there are any other healer and goblin fanatics out there.
PS: TH9 halfway max.

My Healer loves air mines so I haven't used her since TH7 I think
I like to take -
-16 wizards
- 14 giants
- 8/10 wall breakers
- 15 goblins
- 1 healer
- the rest archers
I often get enough to make it worth while, but the time it takes to create the army means I only do this if I know I won't be able to attack for a little while, over night for example.
I knew a TH10 who was great with healers.
But with all the seeking mines out there, I'm much better without healers.
But I still use giants. Love those furry beasts.
At your level giant/healer variations work just fine. It takes relatively longer and cost quite a bit of elixir to train, though. However, if you move up in trophy count, you'll realize that you start fail to more and more as you approach Master league. Bases are getting harder and less forgiving. Counteracting inferno towers while using Giant/Healer would prove challenging. It's great for farming (except for elixir since it costs quite a bit) but not for cup chasing.
If it's working for you, stick with it..... personaly I found that I have not used healers since the end of TH8, as the damm fairies seem to be seeking air mine magnets, plus all those upgraded air defences etc, and was finding that one healer didn't last long enough to justify the extra housing and cook time -- I went on to 2 or 3 healer strategy, which works well, but is expensive and time consuming, and when the loot drought hit, I went back to BAM for fast and cheap, or loonion for heavier attacks up in chrystal league....
Since i upgraded her to lvl4, I've found I only use her for donations to clan mates, still using giant healer........ we have a th10 who still uses them, and seems to do ok, but I gave up --- perhaps it might be time to have another look:rolleyes:
I am TH 8 and the first thing I did was maxed the healers for my level. I don't use them though :p. But my TH 7/6 clan mates sometimes need a decent healer in their CC and a level 3 healer is awesome.
I do use goblins while raiding. I need loot and goblins go only after loot.
You really do not need giants till gold 3. I have noticed that bases start getting harder with more collector raids after Gold 2 and Gold 1. Crystal only contains collector raids. You will need giants and 2 heals at that time.
This does not apply to TH 9 however, the Archer queen and BK work well enough to reach the center. I consider my base to be strong, but a TH 9 with GiBarch and heroes still manages to reach center.

Healers:Lose their strengths after TH7 - because of the additional AD
Goblins: I am still using them effectively at TH8 - they are great when u have giants drawing fire.
Giants: Absolutely necessary for collector raids IMO.
Gold 3 and below - Giants not needed.
Giants + GBarch for me.
Healers die too easily.
But works excellent. Can pierce deep into bases without heavy spell usage as compared to Barching/BAMing.
Will switch to BAM/Barch once i push to Masters though.
I'm a th8 (near max now, just one level on my teslas left) who has been beaten up quite a bit by th9s and thier lvl 6 giants. All I can say is that the ones that have used healers have been consistently more successful in getting loot from me than ones who have just used healing spells. I've been using a good base design (dark defendum) and I upgraded most of my walls to skulls pretty early on (I've been lazy with the last few that only serve to funnel).
I'm a barcher so I can't speak from experience of actually using healers myself.
