Ok then what's the best all around clan castle troop for defence?
If you have 35 spots id say 1 witch, 1 valk, 3 wiz best of everything. I like the tank factor of valks gives wiz some breathing room.
Witch and wizard is a better choice, at least the wizards can provide a bit of defence against air troops... :)
1 Witch, 2 or 3 wiz and the rest archers to make it take ages for them to draw out the CC.

If your cc cannot be lured however, you are best going witch, wiz, arch. Unless valks encounter a group of troops all packed together they are not so great.
