Why is it that people seem to brag about high trophies at low town halls?

I just don't understand the logic. That time that you spent taking the town hall snipes that people are giving to you, you probably could have gotten some loot and made a better village.

I know that the main goal of this game is to gain trophies, but shouldn't people say "I got to 3200 trophies" rather than, "I got to 3200 trophies as a town hall 9"?

It just seems silly to add that little bit in, I mean, what is the point?

Sure it's nice to get to that amount of trophies, but it just seems odd to brag about spending a lot of time sniping rather than properly raiding.

I do acknowledge that it is harder to spend so much time sniping or going for 50% as a lower level town hall as oppose to a town hall 10.

Please can someone shed some light on it? Because it just seems like they are trying to compensate for their lack of progress in relation to their village.

Are you implying that someone getting to 3200 trophies as a TH9 is a bad thing or that they are a low town hall level?

I sort of don't get what you are asking exactly.

I consider a low town hall level to be below TH7. But then I'm TH8. If I was TH10, I'd probably consider a low TH level to be TH8 and below.

If I saw or had a buddy who was, say TH6 or below and he got up to 3200 trophies, I'd be pretty impressed, unless he/she just sniped town halls the whole way up, then I'd probably feel that they just wasted time trophy pushing when I personally don't see the benefit really. Because to me, I feel what's more important is getting that loot to max everything out as quickly as possible so that as I make the climb to the higher TH levels, I'm strong and can both attack and defend really well! Then, once I max my way to TH10, trophy pushing sort of becomes all that's left... that is until they introduce TH11!

Many things to brag about. Walls. Village progression. War win. Trophies. They are all fair game. What is seen as challenge may be different for any individual player. I don't think we need to actually understand that. Just like I never seem to understand why lapidarists do their thing.

Many people have different goals and ambitions within the game, once they achieve them want to share their excitement of achieving it with others.

It isn't limited to clash either, happens to gaming in general.

Im asking why do people feel the need to say what town hall they are when they are talking about trophies.

I find it more impressive for someone to raid properly rather than just town hall snipe or go for 50%.

It's probably because anything that takes dedication and a lot of time to reach a goal makes people want to brag about it. It's impressive to see someone raid properly but it's hard to show that you did something much better/harder than anyone else when you compare raids. With trophies and TH levels, it's easy to show that you did something that very few others did because it's less subjective and it definitely is harder to climb trophies when you're lower level.

Lets get one thing straight. Lapidary is pretty cool. That's fair enough, but you don't think that people shouldn't try to make them self look worse than other people just because they are lower level town hall?

The same reason that there's prestige and difficulty level achievements in videogames. When you beat a game on normal, some people want to also beat a game on hardcore just to say they did.

Getting to champion as a th3 is the ultimate hardcore mode

i don't think that is a good analogy...hardcore mode in most games means it still takes a fairly high level of gameplay to reach the goals. With a low level champ who gets their via th sniping...doesn't take any skills except goat loads of time...which isn't all that impressive.

I don't think you quite understand how hard it is to get to champs as a th9.
