Nah just lure it and spread archers
I've tried 15 Lvl5 Wizards in a circle and the CC Lvl 3 Dragon took them out in 2 breaths. I've tried a hoard of Lvl5 Archers (semi circle) didn't slow the CC dragon down.
We've just been completely obliterated in our last war because of CC dragons.
What the heck will take these things down?
A few people I have seen used different tactics to take down a level four Dragon, so I don't think a level three would be too different.
- 5 level five Wizards, and 6 level one Minions.
- 20 level five Archers.
- 1 level one dragon and 3 level two minions.
Overpowered? I don't think so. They did cost 3mil to upgrade to level 3 to begin with, so I would hope they hold their own defending the CC in wars.
I'm not sure what people are not understanding here. Dragons are not difficult to take out so long as they can be lured.
If you can get one to pop out of the CC before starting your main attack, you are golden. you just have to kite it out to an empty corner of the base (not just to the edge, you need to be out IN THE OPEN to ensure your archers/minions/wizards or whatever troop do not get distracted and start targeting surrounding buildings. They all need to focus on the dragon).
Drop troops with space between them, circle, semi-circle, whatever you like.
The dumbest mistake I see people make are dropping their offensive clan castle to take on the dragon. That only ensures the troops all come out onto one single tile on the map, which the dragon's splash dmg will eat up their troops easily.
Just be smart and
1) lure dragon out into the open
2) drop troops in semi or full circle around the dragon
3) watch it die quickly, then proceed with your raid. Easy.

Haha obviously you DIDN'T deploy the wizards in a circle. The dragon can only kill one wizard at a time if you did, meaning it takes at least 15 breaths to kill the wizards, in which time the dragon is dead 10 times over. I can kill a dragon with 4 wizards.Quote:
