It sounds to me like you did all the necessary things on your end to prevent the problem from occurring. Yet, things invariably happen. A suggestion that I've seen before is to penalize a player with a 50% loot reduction on his next clan war should he leave without attacking. Of course, the obvious loophole with that is just doing two archer drops and then leave. With respect to your suggestion, Supercell doesn't want to penalize players who may have a legitimate reason for leaving a clan during war. Thus, there is no real fix here. The best you can do is to keep screening your recruits like you have and hope for the best.
If anything, Supercell could always give us more profile stats to spot bad eggs. The first that comes to mind for me with regards to this particular situation is average number of attacks used in war. Effectively, this stat would indicate the following: Do you participate in war?You could use current stats available to then determine whether he conducts genuine, strong attacks.
This is going to happen everywhere, that is where the leaders and elders have the power to reject this person and don't let anyone in. Does your clan need 50 players?
Then what did he do by leaving? Sounds like he just hurt your feelings. Deal with it. Maybe his real life friends invited him to to their clan, if he was nr 1 maybe he wanted to be in a clan where others could donate high level troops to him in clan war. Count on similar or lower level people sticking around by winning loot and level up. A th 8 is gonna get really bored in a clan of th 5s, for example. Even if you were real life friends. And dont give up co unless they ask for it, it been at least a month or there donate ratio is really high consistently. Its kind of like getting to 3rd base.
So? Soemtimes they want to leave ecause all the other clan members turn it into global chat? If you were looking for a clan after leaving one thatw asnt right for you. then they automatically started war, but the. started bullying you non-stop, would you wanna stay? Now, if this idea was implemented then those who chose not to will be ounished unfairly. You chose to start war with people.
I believe that better stats in our profiles would help in gauging who is better suited to a clans style of play. That should be given some very serious attention.
More stats would be extremely helpful, especially war sats.
But i may be the only one not understanding this, but what would be a legitimate reason for leaving mid war? I mean if its an issue outside the game, I imagine the user wouls just become inactive. From what I see, people leave for selfish reasons or absentmindedness. Its not some devastating punishment to gut out two days max to wrap up a war. Thats less time than most th7 upgrades. And the punishent as of now is laughable, totally ineffective, and quite honestly, a little confusing. People have no idea half the time why they are ineligible. My clan is mostly level 40 -80, and i would say a lot are clueless about all that ineligibilty stuff still.
Another idea would be to have them pay a penalty that gets added on to the bonus. A scalable fee dependant on the th. You wanna leave, that will cost 50k gold and elixir, which can be split amongst the clan members afte the war.
Thanks for you imput buddy.
Ok, so he potentially hurt 39 users chances of getting a nice bonus because he couldnt wait one day one hour longer to be in a clan with friends that he cant be partake in a war with now anyways and that seems kosher to you? Thats Podunk. The individual i am referring to joined the clan, verbally committed to using both attacks in a war and then left one hour before war day to join a clan with like seven people in it and got co. Thats just selfish. The punishment he will recieve is moot, if he even know he was punished at all. Btw, I never made him CO in my clan, he never asked, i never asked him, just fyi.
