Make punishment fit the crime please

Making a user ineligible for another war for like two days for leaving a clan mid war just isnt motivating enough. It is a hugely inconsiderate action and perahps should be more severly dealt with. Icreasing ineligibilty duration or even making it so the user cant join a clan all all for a period of time may work. Or, add a message that displays when a member tries to leave mid war, asking if he or she is sure they want to leave, and then tell them the consequences of leaving. Ive had quite a few new members not even know why they were ineleible for a war when they join my clan. So either the punishment isnt a large enough threat to prevent leaving a clan mid war, or the current punishmemt isnt even known to a number of users, but please, if posible, try to help us out with this. Its THE most frustrating aspect of the game.

And yes, im sore because this just happened to me, our number one base was a newer member, with my clan for about five days and literally left an hour before war day started. But what does he care? He joined and was promoted to co leader in a new clan of about 5 people, the ineligiblity will not even affect him the slightest. Because of his poor and considerate gameplay manners, we MAY have lost six stars, the war, and a big loot bonus, but he goes on carefree and potentially oblivious to what he may have done.

This is a huge downside to the game, being that vulnerable to random stranges. So please help, its either the punishment doesnt fit the crime, or the punishment isnt even known Thank you for your time.

I do agree that this is a problem. But there really isn't anything you can do to stop it. It's your clan, but their right whether to stay or leave. If they think that this clan doesn't fit him, than he can leave.

All they will do is try for 1 star on the easiest base, donate tons of unwanted troops, turn your clan chat into global chat and be as disruptive as possible until you kick them out, thus avoiding any form of punishment. Remember, these are already players of low moral character. Trying to force them to do something they don't want to do will create a FAR bigger problem.

Besides . . . why would you want somebody in your clan that doesn't want to be there anyway? What good could ever come from that? Let them go and you are both happier.

Please consider everyone and not just your own problems ( everyone tends to do this, myself included, so no offence)

Some people in other clans might leave for good and reasonable reasons. Some people might leave after they attack because they don't like the clan but is righteous enough to attack. Disabling these people form joining other clans is not fair.

Im not saying stopping them from joining another clan forever, a two day punishment or something. Not the end of the world for them, just an annoyance. They lose that 'fair' treatment temporarily for not practicing 'fair' gameplay. Would be nice to encourage a small amount of dignity between clan members. Encouraging one to stay, use their attacks, and get a bonus for it, or recieve a small set back, doesnt seem all that unreasonable in my opinion.

I mean, ive been tempted to purchase some gems latelty, give my base a boost, but i cant justify investing in it if my base and my clan can be so easily screwed over, why bother?

But I would also like to reiterate that adding a 'are you sure' message, explaining the current result of leaving mid war may be the solution. Like I said, ive ran into more than a handful of people who had no idea why they were ineligible for war.

I think if the punishment is appropriate, and people are aware of the punishment beforehand they all wont instantly turn into the worst possible player such as u described. I think it force users to be more careful selecting their new clans too.

Why would i want the number one base to stay in my clan and use his attacks? Is that what your asking?

And like i said they can leave, but they will just have to be clanless for two days or something.

One thing I think might help is when a player is ineligible for war, list the clan they left the war in the middle of. That way at least you can go to the clan and ask them what happened with your new member.

Personally, my clan ONLY accepts new people during a war in progress. That way they will have to stick around for at least a day or 2 and we can get a feel for if this is a hopper or not. Hoppers are too impatient to wait 2 days for a war. We've literally had dozens of new people leave after a few min once they realize they won't be in the current war. I garuntee you every one of them was a hopper.

Maybe you should wait to war when you have a solid, dedicated core of members.. Offering co to new members is a joke.. its something that is earned, not given away. Cant say I feel bad for you. You're playing the whole situation wrong.

Thats not a bad idea too.

My clan is the opposite we close the war to prevent spies. But I require basic english and some dialog before allowing new members to stay. I do have an itchy trigger finger with questionable players, but u cant catch them all, some people just have the attention span of a puppy.

The member that lead me to create this thread was with us five days, donated a lot, agreed to using both attacks, posted replays, and was just generally active and nice enough. Five days is not a long period of time, but thats about five tines longer than what happens at most clans at my clans average level. He still ended up leaving 23 hours into prep day... Nothing happens to him, but he was our highest level base, so it definitely hurts us.

Regular hoppers dont bother, they get some troops, they leave, meh, not a hude deal.
