Why are archers so bad at targeting??

whats "dmb" about it? Weather or not my finger moved isnt the point really. they both spawned in the same place, or very close to the same spot. I dont really care about the builders hut and spell factory. What I do care about is a group walking up to a cannon to shoot a barrack behind the cannon. reguardless the best way to use archers, I would rather all the archers target the first building if that first building is a defense of some kind. If they decide to go through a wall I would rather they target a single wall peice instead of each archer shooting their own wall peice. shooting a wall to bust through while a cannon 5 feet down the other side of the wall picks them off one by one, why not just walk thoses 5 feet and shoot over the wall at the cannon instead of watching them all die because they decide to target 10 different wall peices then instead of going through the wall they suddenly realize "hey theres a cannon there, guess i diddnt need to go through the wall after all", then walk down the outside of the wall while what remaining forces there are takes a couple steps and starts shooting.

Yes,I agreed that Archers used to be so amazingly OP.Anyhow thanks for some interesting updates.

I have watched them frustrated as they clear a compartment and some try to bust back out an outside wall ( near the hole they entered through) others take the side ( which at times is an outside wall ) and the rest go to the nearest target. It's extremely annoying, but since I am aware of it, I have been trying different things. Thus far sending in a few giants, letting them act as targets and then a few wb before the gobs and archers are the most successful, but I am still experimenting.

I usually unload my giants all at once then quickly drop a couple wall breakers. As soon as the first air defense goes down i drop a level 2 healer. Then I unload archers and barbarians in groups of 20-30 and alternate back and forth. The healer is worse than the archers. sometimes she will let my entire army die inside the base and focus on the archers while they are trying to break through some wall they have no business going through, and not getting hit by anything because they are well outside the range of any defense. She just doesnt care and will let 10 lvl 4 brutes and 80 other minions die because she feels the need to heal those archers out of range of any defenses.

Ive tried playing around a bit with placement but my options with troops are slim due to my upgrade pattern.

Archers clear off outside, barbs to distract then wallbreakers go in.....rage ur archers and barbs..........send in gobgoblins thats how I attack
